'Part memoir, part hugely entertaining self-help manual for these tough times' Roger Alton, Daily Mail 'A bona fide badass' The Sunday Times Former Secret Service Special Agent Evy Poumpouras shares the insights and skills from one of the oldest elite security forces in the world - to help you prepare for stressful situations, instantly read people, influence how you're perceived, and live a more fearless life. From gruelling training to clandestine interrogation rooms, to protecting the President of the United States of America, Evy shares rare behind-the-scenes glimpses while also exploring the psychology of human behaviour and the strategies used by the best negotiators. Evy demonstrates how we can learn from these experiences to heighten our own natural instincts to detect BS, develop grit and become the most resilient and powerful version of ourselves. Becoming Bulletproof is a timely guide to empowerment, mental strength, and overcoming fear and abuse - a guide to becoming bulletproof. Review: Engaging, informative, well written - I enjoyed reading this book. The mixture of memoir engaging stories from the author's life and practicable pieces of information makes it useful and easy to read. I personally needed to filter out some aspects related a bit too much to safety/security and to the American mindset...but after having done that all the rest can be easily transpose to my life and work. Surely valuable. Thank you Evy! Review: Awesome.........multiple times reading required. - I would read it again n again. Full ofvtips for life n narrated with real life anecdotes. I love stories snd She has some unique ines....

Good book
The book offers some valuable ideas and insights, but it often drifts away from the main topic. Instead of staying focused on its core subject, it feels more like an autobiography with many personal experiences and reflections. While this may make the book less precise, deep and patient readers may still appreciate the depth and personal perspective. Overall, it is a thoughtful read, but it may not suit those looking for a clear and concise discussion of the topic.

Never Mess With The Best
With all due respect & immense admiration, I would really love to have the author as my friend & bodyguard for life, but since I didn't make it to the PM, President or POTUS category, this excellent well written book is a great self-help alternative & a real eye opener for anyone willing to up their game in dealing with the most life threatening situations, difficult people, plus prepare for anything that comes one's way as best possible. As a young doctor who worked during a civil war in Africa in 1996, these priceless life saving skills & tips would have come in very handy then, I can still use her valuable teachings during these covid times when everything seems so unpredictable to reassure myself & all those around me that all will be fine with Divine blessings.

Inspiring and extremely informative.
The writing style is really smooth and the experiences are truly admirable. What I loved the most is how she has linked her Secret service experiences and it's learnings to some day to day scenarios that each of us faces.

Use your brain
This is a very important book for all who want to learn about themselves and others. She tells a gripping story with many lessons to learn from without the unbearable “know it all”-style. This is a lot about questioning yourself and your behaviour. So self-reflection is a key part.

Extremely Interesting
Likes: This book is jam-packed with information and lessons from Evy's career. Lessons that will help you become more "well rounded" so to say. Being able to see the experiences through her eyes and writing style is an irreplaceable experience with a known genuine feeling with mentions of trial and error making this book very easy to relate to as a person. I do not normally read but I had seen an interview with Evy for her book on Youtube. I was excited to read the book after the interview. Not only do I thank Evy for writing this book. Evy also gave me an enthusiasm for reading. I'm now excited to read! I plan to reread this book in a few months. It is a book that you will find yourself wanting to re-read just in case you missed something! Dislikes: There's nothing to dislike

A Memoir Trying to Be a Self Help Book
Evy Poumpouras is a competent writer and comes across as quite likeable. But this is more of a memoir than a self help book. But I give her credit for writing an entertaining book nonetheless.
