Are these dishes heavy or are they lightweight

These are not heavy like ceramic dishes but not as light as the cheap melamine either. They’re a good manageable weight if you don’t want heavy cumbersome dishes and they don’t look or feel inexpensive in any way. I’m very happy with the purchase.

According to notice from the manufacturer, it is BPA-free. However, I would not put a 100% trust in anything made in China

Can you put hot food on these?

Melamine cannot go into the microwave but definitely hot food may be placed on these.

What does certified mean?
