Amazing KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment!
The KitchenAid Fruit and Vegetable Spiralizer Attachment has been a game-changer in my kitchen! It’s easy to attach to my KitchenAid stand mixer, and the process of spiralizing fruits and vegetables is almost effortless. I’ve used it for everything from zucchini noodles to curly fries, and it delivers consistent results every time. The multiple blade options are fantastic for creating different styles, and cleaning the attachment is surprisingly simple. It’s also sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. If you enjoy adding creative, healthy options to your meals, this spiralizer is worth every penny. It’s made meal prep fun and efficient, and I can’t imagine going back to manual spiralizers after using this! Highly recommend for anyone with a KitchenAid mixer.

Such a cool gadget!
Purchased this attachment for my KitchenAid and it was such a good buy! We make a lot of vegetables and our kids love a variety of fries. - Ease of use, attach and start using! - Cuts our zucchini perfectly! - very easy to detach and clean. I always hand wash all of my kitchen aid products. - Comes with a variety of cutting blades. Spiralizing (Medium and Fine), Slicing (Large and Small Core), and an optional Peeling Blade. - Fits in the cabinet for easy storage when not in use. Haven’t found any cons to this product yet. KitchenAid is a very trusted brand in our household! Would definitely purchase again or as a gift.

Great!
I have used this on about 4 apples so far. It is really easy to use and it works fine for me. it is packed in a nice, reuseable storage box with magnetic closure. I was happily surprised by this but very nice. There are a lot of accessories and I don't have a cabinet to put this in so I store it in the box in the pantry. The parts are labelled and that is also helpful in choosing a blade. I have only used the thickest slicing blade so far for Granny Smith apples. This blade spiral slices my apples and takes the core out. The slice is a good size for pies, snacks, and dehydrating. I also used the peeling attachment on the first apple and it worked flawlessly. One continuous peel came off the apple. I just slice a little, momstly peel, from the bottom of the apple to make it flat and easier to engage the spike. Since I get to center the spike attached to the mixer to the center of the apple at the bottom and the core blade at the center of the apple at the top. It cores the apple very cleanly. So far, I have not had any seeds in the processed apple and to not lose a lot of fruit. I did the assembly and operated the unit without reading any instructions initially so it is easy to use. Later, I read the instructions. I was leaving the mixer on stir but instructions indicate to start on stir and then you can go up to speed 4. I have used that also and it processes the apple quite quickly. Cleaning is easy, just a quick rinse and it is done. I had very little juice from my Granny Smith apples. The attachment slices cleanly minimizing squeezing the juice out. The blade stops cutting automatically. This is a worm gear that the blade travels on. When it reaches the end of the screw portion, it simply stops travelling. You don't have to worry about cutting the machine off at the right time. I will use this for other foods eventually. For now, I can spiral slice my apples, then make one cut down one side and I have a plate of apple slices to snack on. Great!

Good Deal With a Little Adjustment
I bought the Spiralizer Attachment as a Warehouse Deal because of the good price. I had wanted one anyway and the description showed that it was new with all the pieces and directions just with box damage. It came promptly and with everything in good condition. It had obviously been used because the previous owner had not cleaned two of the pieces with food debris before returning it. I have a rather high "yuck" factor so I took pictures in case I decided to return it and set those pieces to soak in detergent and bleach. My first project was to peel apples. The little knife blade attachment was supposed to click into the arm to hold it steady, but the metal piece which was to attach did not. Fortunately, my husband fiddled with it and now it attaches every time. It peels very thinly and quickly and cores along the way--great for when I'm making pies or putting up apples. The spirals it makes are a fun way to get our veggies, and I'm looking forward to trying out some new recipes with those. Do remember that, as with all these gadgets, there are always a few pieces of food that the device can not accomodate (potatoes do not come in standard sizes) and those will be left behind. I gave this 4 stars because I did not expect to have to so thoroughly clean and repair the attachment before I used it. This was my first Warehouse buy so maybe I should have expected this caveat. I would probably do this again, however, because in the end it turned out OK, and quite frankly the gadget is fun to use.

Great peeler, a little dificult to hook to mixer hub
I think it is going to work out very well. I need practice. Instructions are sparse in the booklet, guess more are online, but I was in the middle of an apple cake and it was 8:30 pm. I put a medium spiral blade and a peeling blade on at the same time and it immediately got stuck, and stalled. User error. I took off the spiral, and just peeled, and it stuck in the same place. Seems I made a little divot where it was getting stuck, and I then took off the apple and smoothed off that place with a knife and all went well. Then I put the spiral blade back on, and it cut nicely. My intention was a finished product of finely chopped apples, so I used the spiral and chopped them in pieces. Nice! But, after a few apples the whole unit dropped of the mixer. I did have a hard time getting it attached to begin with. Back to the drawing board next time to make sure I have it attached better. Then I cut the finger on my right hand removing the apple. So, take care when you pull the apple off of the spikes not to jam your hand into the corer part of the machine on the right. Of course, I was working in the evening, tired, and with a migraine, which makes me especially clumsy. I am going to love it. I don't know if I am going to do the spiral and peeling at the same time, couldn't figure out if they separate when coming out, or land in the same bowl. Wash up was a breeze. I did cheat and run the middle of the base under water being careful not to get water into either end. And it comes in a very nice storage box. Nothing gets lost.

Thoroughly Delighted!
This is a sensational attachment for the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I received this today, and first, the box is designed to be the storage case. It holds all of the blades and parts as well as a holder for the directions and booklet. The box even has a magnetic closure and as well as being "plasticized" to hold up well. Good thinking, Kitchenaid! As soon as it arrived from Amazon, I opened it up to give it a test drive. It took nearly no time at all to attach it to my mixer (and by the way, any Kitchenaid attachment will work with ANY Kitchenaid stand mixer as they haven't changed that design since 1919!). I wanted to make think sweet potato slices to oven fry for dinner, and it worked perfectly! One thing I noticed is that if the sweet potato has a tough skin as most do, it may not peel that well as the skin can tend to hold up against the peeler, but white potatoes and other things like apples will peel beautifully. I don't mind the skin on the sweet potatoes, so that was fine. Next, I used the peeler only with an apple, and it very quickly peeled the entire apple. I then used a blade and made wonderful slices. I could have done both steps at once, but I was experimenting. :) Finally, I popped in a zucchini and instantly made zucchini noodles that looked just like spaghetti. Just perfect! It's always such a great feeling when something works exactly like you hope it will, and I can't recommend this attachment highly enough. This is replacing the annoying plastic spiralizer I had which was always such a pain to use and clean. Not the Kitchenaid, however--this was so simple to use and so simple to clean. I think this is perfect for any kitchen enthusiast.

See video/pictures attached.
We've used a manual hand crank peeler, and then manual corer/slicer for preparing apples for applesauce for years, but wanted to save ourselves some time and effort as we've made larger batches each year. We've also used my KitchenAid mixer for years, but never have tried any of the attachments for it yet, so this was our first attempt at using the KitchenAid mixer for anything aside from mixing. This gadget really saved the day! We had 3 1/2 bushels to peel/core (that's about 170lbs of apples!!). We had them all cored and peeled within about 3.5 hours! The best part is that it cores the apples while it peels/slices them so there is nothing left to do after, and there's virtually no clean up other than the spiralizer itself. The apples end up so thin that they cook very quickly too. The spiralizer comes with: -The frame; the part that holds goes in the mixer -The 'stabber'; for holding the veggies/fruit - Peeling blade; removes/peels outer skin - Corer/spiral slicer; removes core and also cuts into a spiral (see video) - Spiral slicer; cuts into a spiral but does not core (ex for tornado potatoes) - Thick cut spiralizer (finer spirals that the spiral slicer - ex for fettucine size spirals) - Thin cut spiralizer (finest spirals - ex for spaghetti size spirals) Note: The peeling blade can be used with any of the other attachments so that you can peel/core&spiral at the same time. The spiralizer's made of sold steel parts (except for the plastic parts that are used to snap the attachments into the frame). It seems like a pretty solid unit and well made. The plastic is a pretty rigid plastic so I don't think that it will have any issues either, and the attachments all snap in/out of the frame easily so they can be interchanged with no issues. The steel frame goes into the KitchenAid mixer easily and apparently it fits any stand mixer. One design improvement that could be made is that you need to depress a spring clip to bring the blade closer to the item you're peeling and if you're not careful you can get your thumb caught between the attachment. It won't cut you, but it does pinch a bit....so just be sure to keep your fingers out of the spring clip when pushing it forward. Another small thing that would improve the product is if they moved the KitchenAid logo away from the frame arm. This is where a plastic guide moves along the arm, and it is not always the smoothest feel. It would probably be a smoother glide if the logo was repositioned. Few tips: -Grease up the frame (where it says kitchenaid) with a little coconut oil or mineral oil to help the plastic guide slide along the frame while in operation. We'll probably put a fine layer of grease on everything before doing apples again because it does get VERY sticky after using it sugary fruits for a long time. -Watch your finger in the plastic spring clip when pushing the blades forward -Rinse off the parts right away to keep them clean, and do not immerse fully in water -Try to keep the box in good shape when opening the unit since it is perfect to use later for storing it again -I prefer keeping the 'stabber' on the machine and then pushing the fruit onto it, but my husband likes to put the item onto the stabber and then put the stabber onto the machine instead. -If you find the 'stabber' part is digging into the item, it only happens when the mixer is going full speed....then just use the mixer a little slower. -Try to line up the apple with the center of the coring blade when putting it on the machine. Some apples can be a bit sideways, so use the core direction as the guide, not the apple itself. -We preferred to put the apples stem side towards the machine and found that worked best -There's a tiny bit of apple peel left at the top/bottom of the apples which is easily removed just by breaking off that part of the chunk (but we just left it) -Press the corer into the apple a bit so it 'grabs' before starting the machine -The height of the spiral is not adjustable (ie how high each slice is) - only the width of spiral based on which attachment you use Overall this was a huge time saver, and we purchased another one for my mom because it saves so much time and is easy to use. You can see my attached video (sorry the video sideways, no video editing capabilities here...hopefully you get the drift!), and attached picture of the spiralizer in the box. Can't wait to try this on potatoes and other veggies. Would add a nice twist to dishes just to make them a little fancier, and would make cute garnishes for veggie trays etc.

Very nice
Let's face it, nobody needs a £150 spiralizer - so when I saw this on sale for less than half that I leaped at it. If you just want to TRY a spiralizer than I recommend buying a £15 plastic one to start with. However, if you have a Kitchenaid stand mixer and you know that you will use a spiralizer a lot this is the way to go. It is well thought out, easy to clean, and it comes in a decent storage box - albeit a cardboard one. With KitchenAid products, it is not a given that the design will be good. Their mixers are great, but some of the other (matching) products we have bought have fallen short in their design. This was not one of them
