Is there a gasket on the lid?

The gasket is permanently attached to the lid. When our gasket began separating from the lid after a year of constant use, we called customer service, and they offered to sell us a new lid/gasket combo for $20; we just purchased the entire slow cooker again for $30.

What is the lid made of?

Glass lid with a seal around the edge and it clamps down so it's completely sealed.

How tall is the cooker with the lid up? Will it fit under a cabinet?

It doesnt fit under my cabinet w the lid up :( but you can take the lid completely off while cooking/serving.

Does it go from cooking to warm automatically?

no it does not. you would need to turn the dial to warm setting.
