Way better than Hamilton Beach
I had to return the Hamilton Beach programmable one because it kept shutting off for no reason. I was going to go back to the manual style because I blamed my electric supply. I'm very glad I decided to try this Crockpot. It is WAY better. It hasn't shut itself off once. I also love that you don’t have to use the timer when you don't need it. The timer is very handy but you can also just put it on one of the 3 settings and go to work. It will still be on when you get home. If you do use the timer, it'll automatically switch to warm when its done. Lastly, it holds a better, and more consistent temperature on each setting than HB did. Its a way better slow cooker. WAY better.

Works as it should!
Great crockpot! Might have to shorten cooking time a bit going forward. It seems a little hotter than my last.

Near Perfect
I got this as a Christmas gift for someone recently. They absolutely love it. I've tried some food out of it since then, and it cooks great. The handles are a nice addition, it seems sturdy and has a nice sleek finish, and it's really easy to use. It was able to cook and hold enough queso dip in it for 5 adults and one child. I'd definitely buy this for myself if I didn't already have a crockpot and needed one.

Great quality, large capacity
I love how big it is. I use it for weekly meal prep every week and the timer function is great if you want to cook overnight or cook when your at work.

So Far, So Good! Really Like This Crock Pot
I just received this slow cooker a few days ago and have only used it once, but had a few initial thoughts I wanted to share. Overall, I have a great opinion of it. I recently bought the Hamilton Beach Set n' Forget and had a TERRIBLE experience with it (undercooked food being the main issue). I returned it and decided to buy this one. Our meal last night (Beef Tips in Mushroom Sauce) was perfect: not overcooked, not undercooked. The meat was tender, the mushrooms were not shriveled and mushy, but the perfect amount of cooked. I was very happy with the meal. A few things I would like to note about the unit: 1. I love the timer, I think it is great to not have to worry about things over cooking while I am at work. I do wish the unit beeped or something when it started. I was worried after I set the time if it was even working because you literally just turn it on, select the setting, and adjust the time - no start button. So I ended up waiting around for a minute to make sure the timer changed. Not really a big deal though, since I know now that it will work once the timer is set. 2. I love the locking lid, it was definitely something I was looking for since I like to take crock pot meals to work and other events. I wish the locks on the lid would lock securely to the lid when not in use so they don't get in the way. They do have a place where they can fold into so they don't hang down, but if you are like me and tend to turn the lid upside down to keep the condensation from dripping into the meal, they will fall out of the slots. I ended up dragging one the the locks in the meal before I realized they didn't stay folded up. Again, not a big deal or something that would keep me from buying it, just something that would be nice. 3. The meal I made yesterday was to cook for 7 hours, and of course the unit set to "Keep Warm" when done, like its supposed to. I set the timer around 7am and was a little late from work (getting home around 6pm) and when I came home the unit was off. I asked my husband about it and he said it must have just turned off because it had been on "Keep Warm" just a few moments before. Then I realized it will only stay on "Keep Warm" for 4 hours. I'm guessing this is a safety feature and it didn't affect the meal at all, but I would have preferred it stayed on until I was ready to turn it off. If it is going to have a safety feature to turn off, I would have preferred 6 hours. Again these are just my initial thoughts. Like I said, none of these things would have changed my mind on buying the unit, and I am much more satisfied with this unit over the Hamilton Beach one I returned last week. If I notice anything new while using the unit, I will definitely share, but right now, I think this was a great buy and I would 100% recommend it.

Works like a charm!
UPDATE: Feb. 17, 2015. I have used this Crock-Pot a dozen times since writing my review ... and it gets better and better! I've made casseroles, breakfast dishes, beans, roast, ribs, Mexican food dishes - all just great (including the chicken/rice recipe with the rice cooked in the Crock-Pot)! The stoneware liner is easy to clean and food is NOT sticking to the sides or bottom. Warmer feature is super and it does not appear to be too hot. I found that when a cooking time range is given, such as 6-8 hours, I should probably go with the low or middle part of the range. For someone who actually HATES to cook, I'm becoming a regular Betty Crocker, and even experimenting, because cooking is SO easy with this appliance. I'm SO glad I made this purchase! Now ... back to your regular programming with the original review ... ---------------- I have an old Crock-Pot and it still works, but is too small for a roast, etc. So I got this one for two reasons: 1) bigger, 2) can program the time and temperature setting. I've only used it twice and, at this point, I am extremely satisfied. Should things change, I most definitely will update. The programmable feature is really nice because you can set the cooking temperature on LOW or HIGH and set the cooking time in 30-minute increments all the way up to 20 hours. Some other "programmable" slow cookers have a few time/temp combination options but they are quite limited - this one gives you total control. Once the programmed cooking time is finished, the Crock-Pot automatically turns to "warm." The controls are touch (instead of turn dials) and very user-friendly. The user manual is small, but complete, and includes a couple recipes. My first dish: Breakfast Casserole (photo attached). Very tasty and the Crock-Pot worked perfectly. There was some extra browning around the edges so I probably need to adjust the cook time a bit ... and you'll have to do that with any slow cooker. Second dish: Hot Sausage Stew. Again, the appliance worked perfectly and the "warm" feature is great because the food finished cooking before I was ready to eat. Keep in mind: you may consider the "warm" temp to be hotter than you expect but that's because of government regulations, not the Crock-Pot. This Crock-Pot holds a LOT of food! I'm cooking for just me so I put some in the fridge and the rest in smaller containers in the freezer. And since I truly hate to cook, this is the best way to keep me out of the kitchen but still have good food to eat. The food I prepared didn't stick to the stoneware and it was super easy to clean. Just hot, soapy water and rinse. You can also put the stoneware and the glass lid in the dishwasher. I will probably never use the "carry" function but I did try the locked lid and the rubber seal is tight and should make it easy to take your dish to the potluck, etc. Just don't lock the lid while you're cooking! Bottom line: the ability to truly program the cooking time/temp ... and the "warm" function ... make this my top kitchen appliance (right along side my George Foreman grill). I'm actually looking for slow cooker recipes to try - and I can't believe I'm doing that! My old Crock-Pot is at least 15 years old and that's why I chose this brand. Because of the "computer" that allows the programming, I know the chances of it lasting that long are probably slim because the fancier you get, the more chances you have of something going wrong. But the price is right and, so far, I'm very happy with my purchase. Amazon shipping was fast and the slow cooker was packed in its original box with plenty of protection.

Great value
Love how easy it is to use. Heats up quickly. Lid closes tightly. The insert is a bit heavy, but that’s what I wanted. Careful though - the outer part gets quite hot. Not the handles though.

I had ordered this product on Amazon. It was after I received the delivery of this product that I realised that this is a product manufactured for use in the United States of America and Canada. This is a high wattage appliance that runs on the 120 V 60 cycles supply. The manufacturers do not provide clear instructions or information on the power rating of this appliance. When contacted via their website, they were categorical that using the device outside of the USA and Canada post is a safety hazard and a strictly not recommended. Cart2India has declined to accept the product as a return , claiming that the product was delivered as promised. One wonders why a trusted brand like Amazon puts up, for sale , on it's portals, an appliance that is not designed for safe usage in India

Used it many times after getting it. Works great. The only thing I’m concerned about is the seal around the cover. It looks thin. Hopefully it will last.
