With all 5 character packs you could play 5 players with the base set or add a 6th boss deck. Honestly though, most people would agree the game plays best at 2 and every player beyond that is less recommended. **Q: Do I need two of these core decks to play with 4players, like in star realms? Do I need 2-sets of character decks to play 4-players too?** A: No, the core deck will support 2-4 Players. **Q: Does this include the class decks?** A: No. Those are separate cards available on the White Wizard website. There's five packs each with a different class. **Q: How many cards fit in the core game box? Is there room for character decks?** A: Dan, thank you for your question. The core box has 144 cards. Deckbuilding game with a good variety of market cards. The expansions make the game very fun too, but the original game is definitely good enough. The box is compact, but has everything you need in it - it is easy to store because of the size. The box and cards are good quality. It's small and comes with all you need to play.Likes:If you have played a deck builder then this will be easy to pick up.The combat is manageable and can get a bit swingy if certain cards come into the lineup without any healing available.A bunch of expansions including boss battle which turn the game into a one vs all thing. A few campaign expansions that make the game a co-op experience and finally classes, the add some player powers and asymmetrical starter decks.Dislikes:One of the 'colors' has all the healing and is the only one so actually getting healing cards isn't that common so if your opponent gets lucky with the lineup and money in hand they can do a ton of damage in a single turn.The game does get samey with about 20ish plays. The expansions help with this and make the game way better.The expansions are basically the same price as the base game. Shouldn't really be a point here but I figured I should mention it.Sleeving the cards makes it not fit the box it came in.Final Thoughts:Overall a fun, easy, and quick game. The game does feel fresh if you play it for a while and then wait some time and come back to it.
