A very simple fastening system to use to secure the wire around the metal eyes. But it is this last that is a problem since while the little securing sleeve does create a secure set up, it is only secure until the wind blows. Half my connections sprung loose with the first wind gusts that were not that strong. So I had to go to my local hardware store and buy 1/8" Wire Clamps that I added to the set up which fully secured the connections. Shade Sails are indeed sails and wind will put a lot of strain on the security of the eyes that connect to the sail and the whatever you use to secure the sail to whatever you connect the sail to at each corner. So if you use this wire for shade sails, you will need to also buy some. I bought eight and then two more since I also used the wire to stretch across the narrow "waist" of the sail to help support it in the middle. Review: Worked great so long as you have the tool and muscles - I really liked this, I got to hang some hanging potted plants but it was heck to use only because I am not that strong and I am not sure I had the right tool to clamp the thing closed. I looked on desertcart for the type of tool I'll need and it looked similar to one of the tools I had so I used it. It helped but it didn't clamp it shut hard enough. So it's either me or the wrong tool, not the product's fault.
