Review: Appears to be a good finish, whether they hold up for 20+ years or rust away, only time will tell. Pretty heavy, which is good, but makes for somewhat difficult installation when on a ladder 8 or 9 feet above the ground, as there is no good way to clamp them in place and they slip around when trying to hold the plate with one hand and a drill/driver with the other. We learned to use the plate as a template to mark the holes with a pencil, and then drill pilot holes for the screws. This made installation a lot easier. Review: The first thing you notice about this part is that it's heavy and its going to the job. Perfect 45 degree angle, easy two minute install, and I expect a lifetime of use out of it. Another post mentioned the lack of screws, but the length of screw depends on what you're using it for. I used it as a reinforcing bracket for a 6" post brace of each leg of my pergola. I needed 4" screws for this project. Wouldn't expected Ozco to have known this and packed-in 4" screws.
