I have not had a hard time cleaning them. If you just let them soak in some hot soapy water first, they clean up really easy.

Can i use them as liners for my wax melts?

That's exactly what I'm using them for. I use the small ones for my plug-in nightlight wax melts and the regular cupcake size for the regular size warmers.
