If you want to live your life in your living room avoid this chest. We had it for nearly a month when our son went to get a blanket and the lid cracked and fractured when he closed it. He didn't force it. He didn't apply pressure to it. He simply closd the lid and it cracked. OK, things like that happen. It's a display of shoddy workmanship, but it happens. I love the trunk, though, so I contacted the company to see if I could purchase a replacement lid to install myself. No, they don't do that. They receive it from the manufacturer and simply sell the piece. OK, no problem there. Happens all the time. Can I order one directly from the manufacturer? No, sorry. So now I have a broken lid (too broken to effectively repair and definitely noticeable), can't get a replacement and am past the return deadline. And out the money.Bottom line, if you live a normal life DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! If you live in a museum and never touch or use anything you own you should be just fine.

Looks super cool and trendy! The hinges work great. It's a really solid piece especially compared to the particle board many things are made of these days. I can't give 5 stars because it's 100% brown. There's absolutely no red tone to it in any lighting. Also, I feel it's priced a bit high.

I bought this to store our dog's food storage container, treats containers and all his misc items. It works absolutely perfect. It goes perfect with the rest of the items in our home. Arrived undamaged and packaged well. Let it air out for a day and put a few dryer sheets inside to help get rid of the smell most items have like this for a few days. Pretty study overall, may reinforce the hinges just because I have kids that may not be as nice opening and shutting it.

I decided to keep it and it's much easier to buy the screws missing and put them in. For the price this should never happen. I'm using it for extra throw blankets and some sheet sets.

Beautiful piece, but not of the best quality for money. Not stable, does not sit level, missing screws in the hinges, and flimsy structure.

Arrived quickly, beautifully crafted, well built. I advise being careful lifting the lid as the hinges are designed to be sturdy, if you pull up too hard you might break the hinges, which is what I see in many of the negative reviews of this. Love this product. Highly recommend!
