The revamped and updated version of this classic gamebook functions as an excellent finale of sorts to the Golden Dragon series. Morris takes the unusual but welcome step of making the protagonist a spellcaster and much of the book's problem solving comes down to knowing when and where to utilize the various spells. The dead city of Thalios comes alive in creepy, fascinating locales like the Temple of Swords, the Citadel of Conundrums and a noble's mysterious mansion. This book is well worth the investment of your time and money and will provide a good deal of entertainment for some time to come.
