It does keep my sheets on!!! **Q: How wide is it?** A: The bands are 3/4 of an inch wide. **Q: Can this hold comforters on so they don't fall off my kids during the night? Or just for holding sheets in place?** A: I am not sure I do tuck my top sheet at the bottom. I think with a comforter it would be to thick For the one hugger. So maybe if you use two huggers and the second one with the comforter in place . Place the band at the head of the bed and pull down around the comforter and then pull out from the top side to crawl in. Good luck.
