perfect just the job, good qaulity

I've added yet another standing desk in house this time for my wife. I wanted all the cables to be tidied away and bought a separate cable store box for this but the USB hub cable wasn't long enough. So I purchased this extensions and plugged the hub in to this and put it in the box plugging in power and HDMI for monitor extension. This extension gets plugged in to the laptop so a single cable solution. Slight false start when it didn't work properly but actually this was a failed USB hub and when that was replaced then bingo. This is a great single cable solution and allows you to squirrel the cables away and keep a very tidy desk.

I have had no issues with charging interruptions or unreliable connections. The 10Gbps data support is also a major advantage over basic extension cables. File transfers remain fast, and it works well for extending a connection to USB-C hubs, external storage and other accessories. The 4K 60Hz video support makes it particularly useful for monitors and docking setups where the original cable does not quite reach. Of course, the final performance still depends on the charger, source device and original cable all supporting the required standards, but this extension has handled everything I have connected to it without complaint. It is worth noting that USB-C extension cables can sometimes be temperamental, especially with higher power and video, but this one has been reliable and feels far better engineered than the bargain-bin alternatives. Seems to work just fine. Tried with 5 laptops and one desktop to connect to a monitor which then does DisplayPort daisy chaining to a 2nd monitor. They both display at 60hz at 2560x1440 just fine with the keyboard, mouse, and other USB devices plugged into the primary monitor's hub are all accessible. This has been tested with Windows 10, Windows 11 and Arch linux. I now have 4 of these so that when changing between laptops and desktop, I am connecting to this extender and not directly to the ports on the hardware. I would have been happier with a shorter cable, but this comes in a loop which sort of solves that. I wouldn't have any hesitation in buying again.

Understandably with the amount of charging and information afforded by USB C, extending wires with quality is a problem, and I haven’t seen longer wires that claim to do this. This one, whilst shorter, does the job well.
