What are the three ports near the USB ports for?

thank you for your question, one port is micro usb port for AC adapter, another is USB port for cellphone charging .any question we can help with, just contact us by email support@mesqool.com

Where is this made? I will never trust China for electronics.

Well it's China. That's about the best you are ever going to get. When I was a kid Japan was making all this stuff but now it's shifted to China. I don't know if there are any US or European units made. This one is cheap, approved by NOAA (patsies to China) but that's how it is.

Might we damage the radio by charging it via solar rays?

Dear Customer, Thanks for your question, just flip the solar panel forward flashlight or light or strong sunshine to charge the radio,it wont damage it. if you have any other question, you can also contact us support@mesqool.com
