Was very surprised when received this book. I thought it would be just a pamphlet. But to my surprise it’s a book. With space to record how many you have or even if you have that skein of color. Also has a picture of the color so can match it up with a skein if the number came off your skein of thread. Also has a space in back of the book for any notes that you may need to remember about a color. Just so worth the money.

So many colors! This book has been so helpful for me when I need to verify the floss colors that I need to buy when running short on my cross stitching projects.

This is a reference book that is organized in different ways. For example, it has numerical order, and “family shade” sections. Some of the colors are small blocks of color, others are photos of actual floss. I took off one star because there was no explanation on how to use this book. Also, the types of floss boxes not only had no explanation (I googled the dmc website to understand this), and the key at the top of each column was not legible. Now that I have researched all this, I will keep the book. For my basic purposes it will suit me well. As others have noted, there is plenty of space for notes, and I like the different ways the colors are organized.

Perfect for keeping floss separated and numbers

The colors are true and match the thread identically. I like to have it along when buying thread as I have quite a large collection and do not want to duplicate colors I do not need. You can mark next to the color how many skeins you have on hand to avoid duplication. There are multiple blank pages in the book for notes to be taken, or possibly to journal your stitching experience? In my opinion, this would be more useful in a smaller, purse-size folder without so many pages. That said, it works as intended.

This book is a lifesaver in keeping track of my embroidery threads.
