It's cheap, it's what it says it is, and on first opening it I was thoroughly unimpressed and almost returned it. I'm glad that I didn't though because when it's plugged into a USB, the light is extra bright. I'm using it to make fine alterations to a broken stone lamp. It's been really helpful in not leaving a mess of glue and bonding agents. As a less-expensive option, it's worth the money you spend on it.

It is good for the price. Magnification looks to be x10, but since the diameter is a bit small, it can be a bit dizzying. The lights are good as well, although a kelvin temp adjustment would have been awesome. Overall, this works as advertised. Just take it slow as it takes a while to adjust to the magnification.

I needed a combo magnifier/light to do some repairs deep in the bowels of a digital camera, and I purchased this item. It worked quite well for its purpose. The lights weren't super bright, but they were bright enough and have two brightness stages, although they don't seem all that distinct. My only complaint is that I wished at full extension the magnifier sat an inch or two higher, but these devices always seem to be a little smaller than the picture might hint at. Overall, though, I'm happy with this purpose as it allowed me to complete the repairs I wanted to accomplish, and the price was very reasonable.
