Great for smaller vehicles
Great punch and frequency response. Clear and not muddy or boomy. Doesn't foof like a ported box, stays tight and covers the range. Goes well into 150 Hz for those bass tones and not just the kick drums. Heavy, solid enclosure. Not overwhelmingly loud, but these Kicker subs are supposed to have a long break-in period so I expect more volume after 50 hours. Fits my vehicle, that is priority number one along with the sound. I am happy with it for a little 8" woof.

2nd Gen Rx350 perfect fit
For anyone with a 2006-2009 lexus rx350, this is the perfect fit for the spare jack under floorboard of the trunk. You just have to remove the scissor jack and the black plastic holder, then this fits it tightly with plenty of room to add an amp.The 10 and 12 inch kicker down firing models do not fit unfortunately, but this still improves the stock sound by a lot
