That should tell you how much we love this heater. The first one we bought was for a family member who kept the house cold because of high heating costs. I sent him this heater, and it kept whatever room he was in wonderfully warm, without inflating the electric bill. Next one was for us at home. We have a fairly large living room, and this heater warms up the whole space in under ten minutes. We bought a backup for the bedroom and set the timer so it goes off after an hour. Works perfectly. We then sent two to my parents for when the power goes out during winter storms. They love it, and they love not raising their heating bill by heating the whole house when they're just in one room. Same with my sister, who lives in a climate with two months of not-hot summer and cold the rest of the year. No visible hot wires, like other heaters. Good blower sends out warm air; you don't have to be close to it at all to feel the warmth. Oscillator covers a decently wide range as it goes back and forth, or you can just aim it in one direction. We have two long-haired cats and have never been nervous about them getting close to it (which they don't, because they don't like the blowing sensation). Nice ceramic design doesn't look ugly. Ours, and the others I've sent to family, have now lasted for over two years, in some cases four. Overall, we all love this heater.

Value for money 5 stars Performance 5 stars Heat 5 stars Quality 5 stars I just got the Lasko Oscillating heater in gold. It works perfectly! It was a chilly morning today so it was my first time turn it on. It runs nice and quiet with only the soothing sound you'd want to hear when feeling warmth begin to generate. I love its design on legs! It looks very nice in person and the oscillating feature operates nice and gradual so that if sitting nearby you don't get cold then warm because the movement is slow and stays focused only to a certain rotation away then turns back again. It feels sturdy. It was packaged to perfection in a perfectly sized thick cardboard box you might consider keeping this box and to prevent damage to the top and bottom it has thick cardboard fittings rather than those annoying Styrofoam end caps. All in all I love everything about this little heater. And I'm very happy I bought it and have it! This is a same day update. I think it is valuable to provide this update. I bought this heater on September 26 2023 for $49.99. I love it so much I thought hey I'm going to buy one just like this for my office. However today October 7 2023 this heater skyrocketed to 97 and change. So there we have corporate greed at its finest doubling the cost now that it's getting colder. Too bad we have to be aware of this fact that we will be taken advantage of where possible. Oct 22,2023 update: the price is back at $49.99. I purchased a second one!

This review can also apply to the 6410 model which, according to Lasko Products, only differs in color. Who would have thought you could have made a functional, inexpensive, thermostatically-controlled, heater, attractive? Well Lasko must have, because they've done it. I purchased this heater for my mother who lives in our finished basement (I don't want anyone thinking I have my mom living in an "unfinished" basement, under the stairs, or anything like that). The oscillating feature is nicely integrated in the design as it pivots along the top band of the metal support structure. It has a bright, red, LED that shines through the bottom of the heating grill so you can easily see that the unit is on. It puts out a good amount of heat and is every bit as effective as the DeLonghi units I own in other parts of my house. So, overall, I'm happy with it. Let me lay out the Pros and Cons for you. Pros: - Attractive crackle surface along the skin of the unit. - Heavy base provides sturdy support to keep the unit from tipping. - Nice size makes it easily unobtrusive. - Very quiet. - Ready to use right out of the box. Cons: - Remote is a bit difficult use. It has icons only which are rubber-lifted and all black. They are a bit difficult to see unless you tilt the remote in the light to get contrast from the raised surface. - Thermostat is restricted to five-degree increments. My other DeLonghi units allow full-degree adjustment. - No tip-turn-off feature if you tend to get a bit rowdy in your heated room. We have only had the unit for about a week. UPDATE: I just got off the phone with LaskoProducts who told me that this particular heater does not have a tip shut-off feature. They told me that if the unit were to tip, it would most likely overheat and then the thermal protection would kick in. I don't think I would want to count on the thermal overload protection to protect from a tip-over. If I just HAD to have this heater, I would probably just strap one of the bracket legs to a stationary object or clamp it to the floor. It's pretty stable but it's certainly not "untippable." I wanted to see how the heater would respond if it tipped over so I tipped it, last night. It did not turn off. It just laid there like a tipped-over R2-D2, rotating back and forth. I didn't wait around to see if it would overheat and shut off. I have two other oscillating heaters in my home in my kid's bedrooms that are made by DeLonghi and they have the tip-over shut-off feature. As a matter of fact, you can't even pick them up without them shutting off. I bought them a few years ago at Costco but couldn't find an identical product when I bought the decorative heater from Amazon.com. If tipping is not your concern, this is still a great heater.

I have tried several small heaters in the past, and had been disappointed. I ordered this based on reviews, and I am not disappointed. I needed something to balance the temperature in my apartment. I live in an older home and the insulation is lacking severely. The register placements and boxy setup make it hard for the temperature to be even throughout. With the colder temps, I really needed something to make the other half of my apartment comfortable. This has done the job. I have it set to 65 and it helps the older furnace by balancing the temperature and not run as often. I am no longer walking into cold rooms. I love that it looks decorative. Which means, come warmer temps, I will not absolutely have to put it away. It heats my living room quickly. It starts and stops as it should. And the sides stay cool as they should. I cats were playing and knocked it over one day, it immediately shut off. Which is very important to me. One thing to note, do not plug this in to a surge protector or surge protected outlet. It will trip your breaker. I was not paying attention one day and forgot. Plugged it into a tower box and five minutes later, it tripped the breaker. I would recommend this product to anyone who, like me, is limited on space (especially storage space) and wants something which not only looks good, but is functional.

I purchased this space heater for our bedroom. Our room has a large window and only one vent. It stays a lot colder than the rest of our home. I picked out this heater for two main reasons. The remote and the oscillation. There are multiple buttons on the top. To power the unit on you press the center button, this is also the button you use to set to High or Low. High is the default. There are 3 other buttons. One for oscillation, one for a timer, and one to set the temperature. To get to the time or temp setting you want you push the button multiple times till you get to your desired setting. The remote has the same buttons. The oscillation is great. Helps to heat the room evenly. I have never used the timed setting so I can't say much about that however, I have used the temperature setting and i'm not quite sure that works accurately. This heater can heat our medium sized room in around 20 minutes. If left on the high setting it can actually get the room hot! Now, I had the impression that this was cool touch when I purchased it. I am not sure where I got that from but it is NOT cool touch. The front grate gets VERY hot. The plastic exterior does stay cool. This heater looks great. It's stylish and it isn't an eyesore like some other heaters. The remote can be kind of annoying to use. You have to be sure to point it directly at the heater, press the button hard, and do not press them too quickly. It takes a few seconds before you can get it to read the remote after pressing a button. It is quiet. I am a VERY light sleeper and I have a hard time sleeping with anything louder than a ceiling fan in my room. I have no problems with this heater if I am napping during the day. I don't personally leave it on overnight while sleeping as I am too nervous to do that. Sometimes I forget it is on other than the room actually feeling warm! I can only compare it to the sound that a PC computer's fan makes. I highly recommend this heater for many reasons. It is stylish, it has a remote, it oscillates, it's quiet, and it WORKS!

Let me just say, WOW! This little thing doesn't look like it would give off much heat, but it really does. I had just purchased a heater from Dollar General, Comfort Zone CZ550 when this Lasko heater arrived a day early and I had a chance to compare them side by side. Although they both have a high setting of 1500 watts, the Lasko on the lowest setting put out twice as much heat as the Comfort Zone heater on the highest setting. I really wondered how well it would work and the minute I plugged it in I was amazed. I can't give information on the size of room it would heat and keep that way because I was using it in a very large area-kitchen with attached family room, 408 square feet, plus I had it placed near an open doorway to the dining room and living room area which are another 650 square feet. But it totally kept all of us warm-everyone sitting within 10 feet of the heater. This heater does a much better job than both a Delonghi radiator type heater and a Sunbeam radiant quartz heater. This one puts out way more heat than the radiator type heater and just as much as the radiant quartz heater did. But, with no orange glow, it's one you can stand at night that won't keep you awake. It is also cool to the touch everywhere except on the metal grate cover which is warm to the touch, but not warm enough to burn your skin. It is also very stable, not likely to be accidentally knocked over. I don't think it would be much of a fire hazard even if it did tip over. Unlike the Sunbeam heater we had that was VERY hot and I was always afraid anything that touched it would start on fire (although it did have a turn off feature). As to features, it has an oscillating feature to heat more evenly. It has a low and high setting. On low there is no thermostat setting, just maximum (so you either have it on or you don't). On high there is a thermostat with settings from 60 to 85 degrees, plus maximum, I suppose meaning that it will just stay on constant rather than staying on when it hits the selected temperature. It also has a timer that can be set for 1, 2, or 4 hours. Everything is push button on the top of the unit, so very accessible. I like the stand not only because it looks nice, but whichever way you need the cord to go, you can thread it through the bottom "s" loop on that side to keep it routed where you want it. All in all, I LOVE this heater. I think I will be buying another one soon. I will update when I have had it longer to see how well it holds up. Unlike many reviewers who say they will update and 3 years later there is nothing, I actually update my reviews from time to time.

I just love everything about this attractive heater!!! This is the second one I have bought and just love it. I bought another of these to keep in my kitchen which keeps the temperature from going below 60 at night with the built-in automatic thermostat. Just set the temp on the simple panel on top of the unit and sleep knowing your house will be warm and pipes won't freeze up while you sleep. LASKO also includes a remote control which is awesome because there are days when walking gets too painful for me. Our winters have gotten quite mild here in CT and even on the few cold days we have had so far, it kept the open kitchen area warm. (There is a dirt crawl space under the tile floor and has always been the coldest room in the house until I purchase this second heater that is). The first one I purchased is in the living room and is used more often. Between the two, they keep my living and kitchen area which are open to each other and are the center of the house, nice and toasty. I don't worry about the bedroom which is off the living room, because I prefer it cool in there at night. I even had to go out to the living room one night to turn the temp on the living room heater, down to 50 because it got too hot in the bedroom! My electric bill goes up a bit as it does with any electric heater, but that is offset by not having to purchase as much oil at $8-$900.00/ fillup. Right now I am only purchasing 100 gallons at a time because I'm only using oil for hot water and with just one person in the house, it stretches much farther. Even though I feel completely confident with the safety of these heaters, if I have to be away from the house, I do shut them off and unplug them. (Which is good practice for any electric heater), and if the temperature goes below 60 degrees, the furnace will go on. I am retired so I have only gone out a few times a month since COVID-19. LASKO has made a top-notch heater and it's stylish with its shapely ginger jar shape and iron stand it sits in. I highly recommend this heater and at $40+ dollars it's a bargain!! I have recommended this heater to several friends & family members and all feel the same as I do about it and bought one for themselves. **UPDATE 6/28/2018** I used this the entire winter in my office. It easily kept it nice and warm. However, I have noticed a couple of things: 1) My electric bill is drastically higher in the winter. With two of these running pretty constantly (one in office, one in basement), it easily raised my bill $100+. In the summer I have four window air conditioners running, by comparison. 2) My office isn't wired the best electrically (I believe the electrician said I have a 15 blah-blah-something instead of a 30 blah-blah-something), but I could not run the heater at the same time as my Keurig or Water Heater or anything else that draws a decent amount of power. It would trip the circuit. Individually they could all run, but not concurrently. I do not have this same problem when running an air conditioner in the winter. This thing draws a LOT of power. Still like it though. **ORIGINAL REVIEW** I have a 21 X 15 office in my unheated attic, with a vaulted ceiling. It gets pretty chilly in the winter, so I bought this space heater, hoping it could take the bite out of the chill. I am more than impressed with this little guy. Not only does it get my office warm enough, it can get it way too hot if I let it. It DID have a bit of a smell when I initially received it, which went away within a couple of hours. I judge this thing purely on performance, not cosmetics. We had our furnace go out recently, and the outside temperature was in the single digits, and we couldn't get a repairman for an entire day. All we had were two of these space heaters. They kept us pretty warm all day. As we went to bed, worrying about pipes freezing, I placed one on the main floor and one on the upper floor. I had no expectations of these keeping the house warm; I was simply worried about pipes freezing. I was quite surprised that the house had only dropped to about 60 degrees overnight, whereas the night before (when the furnace initially broke), it had dropped to about 52. These things work well. For all their positives, I do have three minor complaints: 1) You can set it to a temperature, and it will turn on and off based on how far below that temperature the room drops -- which is great. However, those temperature settings are in five-degree increments. I'd like it to be 68, but my options are 65 and 70, which is slightly annoying. I easily get hot. 2) Every time you press a button on it (or on the remote), the thing beeps pretty loudly. This is no problem for me in my lonely office, but I could see this being annoying if you had someone sleeping in the room. 3) The cord gets a bit warm. Not hot, but a warm cord always makes me a bit concerned. However it's never gotten beyond warm. In my opinion, this heater is well worth the money.

Funcional, liviano, bonito y fácil de usar para espacios pequeños (4m2 aprox). Su diseño poco convencional da un toque acogedor al ambiente. La oscilación de aire caliente ofrece una sensación similar a la calefacción de un automóvil y favorece que el calor se esparsa rápidamente por todo el espacio, calentádolo y aclimántandolo en poco tiempo sin necesidad de mantenerlo encendido por largos periodos de tiempo. Esa función en particular me ha encantado porque suelo colocarlo cerca de mis pies y eso ayuda mucho a "entrar en calor" reduciendo la sensación de frío. Además, si tienes mascotas en el lugar, lo agradecerán muchísimo. A mis perras les encanta tumbarse cerca del calefactor y es seguro al no tener flama de gas. Contras: 1) Por seguridad no debe conectarse a una extensión; sin embargo el cable tiene 1.5 m aprox de longitud. 2) Hace un poco de ruido para esparcir el aire pero nada grave o que no pueda tolerarse. 3) En un principio da sensación de resequedad en la garganta, pero regulando la distancia y el tiempo de encendido, eso desaparece. 4) Respecto al consumo de luz, no sabría decirlo, pues aún no he tenido oportundiad de cotejarlo. Pero como digo, si el espacio es pequeño en cuestión de 15 mins el ambiente alcanza su temperatura ideal y permanece así por mucho tiempo por lo que no es necesario tenerlo trabajando como loco. En gral muy satisfecha con la elección. Aún está en periodo de prueba, pero si la pasa adquiriré uno más para obsequiar a mi madre. Espero sirva esta reseña al momento de optar o no por este producto según sean las necesidades que cada quien busca satisfacer.

Looks good, heats up the space quickly, no weird smells even if it gets dusty, quite enough, working still fine since 2022, does not transiently overload the power supply like my printer does when it turns on., easy to remove dust from. This is by far the best heater I've come across.

Un excelente calentador a un precio justo. Antes de hacer la compra coticé precios y no encontré ni uno que se acercara. De un tamaño excelente para una pieza, calienta rápidamente. El bonus del diseño es genial, adorna cualquier lugar donde se ubique. Considero que a cualquier persona le gustará. El único "pero" que le pongo es que estando conectado mantiene prendido un indicador rojo que rompe la ilusión de decoración. Debería de haber una forma de apagarlo para que no llame la atención.

The heater is small in size, but mighty in producing additional heat. The decorative design is brilliant, as I don't mind leaving it out. We use the heater in a bedroom during winters to add additional heat. The heater rotates slightly blowing heat through the center grate. The product is made of plastic and seems thick, plus it does not get hot to the touch. Great little additional heater to a homes central heat, fills small dead spots.

The product arrived on time and was in excellent condition. Great looking and for a small heater surely gives off a lot of heat quickly. I actually purchased two of these. You just set it with the convenient remote and it heats the room to the set temperature then automatically shuts off. Once the room cools down it automatically turns back on and heats the room once more. So pleased and highly recommend this product.
