Tunisian Crochet Stitch Guide-61 Stitch Patterns Including Photo Tutorials in this Pocket Size Guide Review: Great book - The book is very informative Review: Not for newbies! - I’ve been crocheting for a few years & picked up Tunisian about 2 years ago. I absolutely LOVE this book. learning new stitches & how to read the graphs was exactly what I was looking for to increase my crochet knowledge. I know if I had gotten this book as a new crocheter it would have all looked like gibberish.

Very clear and useful resource for Tunisian crocheters!
Very helpful to learn a variety of stitches. I am not sure if Tunisian is so new that the stitches don't have names or why they are just numbered here. I do like that they are grouped by the type of stitch. I was learning Tunisian a few months ago and use this when planning a project now to decide on a good pattern for the stitch.

Reference book for Tunisian Stitches
This slim volume was a book I anxiously awaited. I was a little disappointed in that the author states she has innovated some of the stitches but somehow the whole presentation of the book seemed a little "cheap." I put it on the shelf and may look at it again later. There are so many other Tunisian reference books that have inspiring articles on patterns and methodology, viz. "The new Tunisian Crochet," by Dora Ohrenstein. (see my reveiw)

Going based on the book (should that have been what you were searching)… it’s a cute little handy book. Great size for say a travel bag, on the go bag, or as i like to say “have hooks & needles will travel” bag. (Why there is a lot of low star rating or complaints on this is unbeknownst to me… it CEARLY states perfect POCKET SIZE,, frites your BAG). So If you are looking for something thats concise and compact, this is def that book. You doooo need the basic understanding of how to Tunisian so you’re not sitting there like its stereo instructions. So 5 * for pattern education, 5 * for symbol education, 2 * on fundamental basics. BUT this is a stitch guide NOT a learn to tunisian or beginners book. **now to leave a little feed back about the seller. ACES in my book! Being purchased used they said the book was in ‘very good condition”, it absolutely was. I got my book earlier than expected. I support their mission programs and the services they offer. I can only hope that goodwill/easter seals/ local charities/ to the people that run these places, all i can hope is they cont to stay humble and on a selfless path with the wonderful work and services they provide for SO many people. With a loving worldly cause i will always try to support. Please don’t ever stop striving Soooo i can knit…. I can crochet… but apparently i can not even start a foundation Tunisian chain and this book did jack nor shit to help me with that. BUT i did paper clip the MoFo outta this thing with the stitches i wanted to learn (oh which BTW the name of the stitch is so nicely NOT given to you just referred to as “stitch x”. Oh but you do get a free pattern (yeeeea that was a slight bit of sarcasm). I think its best to end this review here and let me quit while I’m ahead or their sake

This is a fabulous little book!
After many decades of being an avid crocheter, in regular crochet, Irish crochet, Romanium Lace, and Tunisian crochet, (even the lost art of Tatting should you know what that is!), this book may be my top choice. It is not a book of patterns, but a book that both tells and shows stitches I had never even dreamt of, never mind used in any of my creations. If you have any interest in the fun of Tunisian crochet, BUY IT, even if you already know how to do it! My only complaint is the physical binding of the book. It started to fall apart within a day or two. however, I have now put each page in clear binders and put them all in a notebook. Problem solved. Thank you for putting this valuable and fascinating information into a book.
