Is this mold safe for use IN an Instant Pot (i.e. under pressure amd at higher temp)?

I would not put it in an Instant Pot. It is soft-ish and not made for that. Once you hard or soft boil an egg, after you peel it, but while it is still warm, you put the egg in the mold. The mold is not to cook with.

As of 2/11/18, when checked, it states "EGG-A-MATIC is built from durable, BPA-free, food-safe polypropylene."

Could you use this for rice?

I use egg molds for sticky rice all the time. I also have never needed to do anything extra to the mold.

Make breakfast fun without sugar!!!

Awesome kitchen gadget! My son loved the Dino shape. Makes breakfast fun. First time using was tricky. Egg got stuck in some small spots and I opened it too quickly. A little butter the next time and a little care and it came out fine! Love it!
