TYMO Ring Plus Hair Straightener Brush, Ionic Straightening Comb, 9 Temps

I love this device. I wear my natural hair in a puff bun or twists out, or crochet extensions. Sometimes I want to play with straight hair or having my a little more manageable, so I bought both the plus devices, comb and brush, to test which one I preferred since I’m not going for silk press results. On wash day, I blowed dried my dripping wet, heat protected hair 4C hair, then got to straightening. I took it slow by choice at 330°, and over-applied an oil-based heat protectant. The buttons are in a place where I accidentally hit them multiple times, so it went up to 350° at some point. Also, the auto-off happens too quickly, probably 30-45 mins. I had to turn it on multiple times. I loved the results, and I was already texting family how well it worked and how soft my hair was after the first row. I wrapped my hair and slept, and bumped the ends the next morning with my flat iron (I haven’t mastered it with this device), but as soon as I walked outside at 8am, the Texas heat and humidity caused it to poof. It was still manageable and cute, so I wasn’t too disappointed. Later that day, I tried it on 410° with the Cantu thermal protector (can’t remember the name). My hair looked silkier, and it still felt just as soft, but it was more flowy than before. It only took about 30 mins to do my whole head. I also straightened my biracial nieces wavy (not at all curly) hair on 310°. I don’t have pics. With the oil-based heat protectant, her hair looked silky and polished, but kinda wet. I switched to Cantu for the other half of her head, and it was straight, but not as silky. I very, very lightly applied some of the oil-based heat protectant to the top quadrant of her head and finished up. A couple hours later, the oil-based half of her hair was still silky and straight, while the mixed half had fly aways, and was not as straight at the ends. It didn’t look like she had her hair straightened with heat, it looked more like naturally straight hair. Hopefully, the pics display in order. 1) Twist out in a gray tee. 2) blow dried to stretch in pink top, 3) video of final 330/350°, 4) 10 mins outside in the hot, wet, Texas heat, 5) at 410°.

Tymo makes the BEST styling tools! I have fairly long hair and always have my entire life. I have all almost all of their collection and love every tool! This one definitely did not disappoint. Makes my hair, silky, smooth and soft and shiny and beautiful! I just got this two days ago and used it today for the first time and have been receiving compliments from every single one of my patients today. Just buy it… You won’t be disappointed at all. This straightener is amazing!

I have kinky coily afro hair and this Tymo Ring Plus made my hair straight and bouncy, I loved it! This is exactly what I was looking for so that I can manage my hair much better. I want to note that my end results were not BONE straight, thin, thin hair for that I would go to the salon for a silk press. But if you are looking for an at home quick way to straighten your hair to achieve certain hairdos I highly recommend this product. I want to say I have been watching this straightener for a while now and I am so happy with this product and I am happy with my hair being straight.

This hair straightener is great for anyone with hair like mine that is difficult to straighten but fragile. I have very dense, coily, Afro-textured hair (4b/c), and this hair straightener does an adequate job of getting my hair straighter than an average blowout, but not exactly silk press quality. I use it at the highest heat setting (420°F/215°C), and the only product in my hair was avocado oil (natural heat protectant). The fact that I didn't get silk press results like the examples I saw on social media might be based on the product I used and the humidity in the air. However, I do love that the comb design is smooth and rounded, which was significantly gentler for fragile strands than a typical hot comb shape design. This straightener works better on my hair than my blowout round brush, flat iron, blow dryer and chase method, and electric hot comb. It works well for the purpose of making my hair more manageable and tangle-free for styling. It comes with two clips, a bag, a small detangling brush, and a heat glove. The heat glove is extremely useful to prevent burns whether you or someone else is straightening the hair. The minor annoyance I find is the button placement. The power button is easy to accidentally press while using the brush and it happened often enough that I had to take a star off for it. Other than that, I recommend the straightener.

Wish I had purchased this yrs ago! I have long hair that is naturally curly and has a mind of its own, I have to straighten often. No more damage from my old straightener! This straightener brush leaves my hair silky smooth, no damage, and it literally takes 1/2 the time to straighten! My hair looks so healthy each time I’ve used it! The only part that bothers me is the buttons to change the temp and power on/off is where you hold the unit to use it. But that’s not enough to change my thoughts! I love this so much! Well worth the price!! If you’re reading this review wondering about the purchase, go for it! You’ll not be disappointed!

Very annoying!

Naturally curly hair was no issue for this straightener. I have owned dozens but this is by far the best purchase ever

Der TYMO RING PLUS Ionic Hair Straightener ist ein wirklich tolles Glätteisen! Man ist super schnell fertig und er eignet sich perfekt für verschiedene Haartypen, auch für Locken oder Afro-Haare. Die Haare werden schön glatt und sehen gepflegt aus. Natürlich benutze ich zusätzlich immer Hitzeschutz. Die Anwendung ist einfach und das Ergebnis überzeugt mich jedes Mal aufs Neue. Il ring plus è arrivato nei tempi previsti intatto ancora con la pellicola trasparente a sigillare la confezione originale e conteneve il ring plus, la spazzolina fucsia, 2 mollette per capelli e il guanto utilissimi! Ho comprato a parte un latte termoprotettore per proteggere i capelli. La ring plus raggiunge i 210 gradi in pochi secondi. Ho lavato i capelli il giorno prima idratati, nutriti bene. Il giorno dopo i capelli erano asciutti e nutri ed ho applicato il termoprotettore e a quel punto ho usato il ringplus a piccole ciocche partendo dalla radice e andando molto lenta in 2 passaggi o poco piu la ciocca si liscia molto bene basta trovare la propria manualità. Sono rimasta stupita del risultato . Ho i capelli crespi ricci che tendono a gonfiarsi per principio lol quindi dopo aver lisciato tutto o applicato un olio per capelli che avevo per aiutare a isolare dall umidità. Fatto cio ho fatto una treccia e ho messo una di quelle cuffiette di finta seta per isolare dall umidità e in questo modo durano un po di piu ordinate specialmente quando si va a dormire , la cuffietta aiuta parecchio..proverò una crema antiumidita da metter dopo il lisciaggio cosi che durino di piu... facendo a piccole cioccche e pettinandole la ring plus scorrerá piu agilmente... I miei capelli anche se crespi non si sono incastrati , basta pettinare prima e passare lentamente.... la temperatura sui capelli di mia mamma piu fini e delicati l ho impostata su 130/160 e sono venuti perfetti meglio dei miei :D ... lo consiglio ...io evitavo di lisciarli perché con le piastre classiche e con il pettine mi scocciavo questa da un risultato soddisfacente...se si hanno capelli ricci morbidi e fini vengono praticamente liscissimi ...se sono crespi con 210 vengono lisci non effetto post keratina dal parrucchiere ma egregio io lo ricomprerei lo consiglio

It’s a scam i bought this as a plus ring but it’s the normal one with the price of plus !! Doesn’t show temperature or anything like written in bio !!
