Much easier to install than expected.
Super happy with this part. I watched several Videos that made it sound worse than in was. It took about 30 minutes total to install. I have the worst F 150 ever made (2012) They had more recalls on this one than any other year! Yeah me. Oh well. Be sure you have a decent set of fiber sticks. A small, short 7mm and 8mm socket with 72 teeth if possible. All the online video's show the firs part the same. 1) lift the rubber shelf off of the top of the radio. Use the 7mm to take those two out and set aside. Then pop the USB plate out and unclip the two connectors. Take the one 7mm screw out of there too. Using the fiber sticks, pop the two vent shields up (not off). The radio bezel comes out fairly easy. I disconnected the two upper connectors but left all the bottom ones on and laid the assembly down. Take out the 4 Radio 7mm screws and pull the radio out. Again, I just laid it down. It was never in my way. Take the screw out of the blend door actuator that you can see. Now is the tricky part. I dropped my glove box door and was able to get a small light up there and my two fingers to steady the socket. It really was not that bad. Lift the spline out. pull back the red lock and disconnect the connector. Everything else is all in reverse of course. Works perfect! I could not be happier. It is 90 out today and my air is working again!!

2011 Ford F150 Lariat Electronic Dual Climate Control Passenger Side NOT Switching- Issue Resolved
2011 Ford F150 Lariat Electronic Climate Control Dual Zone Passenger Side NOT Switching Between Warm and Cold Air. No Clicking, No Noises, Just No Function. This resolved the issue. Pain to install. Remove Front Trim Panel. Remove Screen (or stereo), remove glove box. Ideally have short length 1/4" nut driver (8mm?) [9/32]? and a 1/4" ratchet wrench. Front bolt is super easy to get out. Back bolt is a royal pain. ~2-3 hours. No need to remove the air bag cartridge or cover. No need to pull apart the entire dash.

bye bye clicking/knocking blend door actuators
had the infamous clicking/knocking sound coming from behind the dash which is the tall tale sign of these going bad bought some cheap replacements and they last about a few months and was back to the sound. put these in and they are soo quite and work flawlessly. a priced affordably and was a direct factory replacement

Factory OEM Quality
This is a fix for a very common Ford F150 truck problem. The placement of this part is quite difficult to access and I did not want to have to do this repair again so I went with OEM. The fit was perfect and after a few months installed is working as it should. I see some of the videos on YouTube regarding aftermarket knock off brands faulty after one to two years needing replacement. I always go with factory OEM when it is not completely cost prohibitive.

New improved actuator by Motorcraft, not 3rd party
I have a 2010 f150 fx4 crew cab that had loud clicking under dash, especially turning temp dial to the cold setting. This is the exact replacement part. Once replaced, my truck was quiet again and heat and cold air blew through all settings. If you do this yourself, familiarize yourself with a few Utube videos on replacing blend door actuators. My truck has a flow through console connecting to radio dash and I needed to remove 6 screws to move it back a few inches to access a screw on each side trim piece that run along the radio console on both sides, and then able to free up, remove radio control panel, radio and finally reach actuator. Drop glove box and reach hand through with wrench to access rear screw. The rear screw is a pain. 8 mm. Tie string to the small 8mm wrench and your wrist. You will drop it many times. After removing old actuator, be sure to line up the teeth on the new actuator to the part it fits into, lining up the area that has an intentional gap of no teeth. Then turn part to line up to screw holes. It will fit perfectly. Pat yourself on your back for a job well done as you just saved anywhere from $500 to $1000 dealership costs.

Appears to be OEM.
Fit like it should in a 2014 Expedition EL XLT, with what I think is considered to be dual zone front climate control, passenger front location. Removed the stereo surround, stereo, and was able to access the actuator, the back screw is awkward to get to but very doable. Now time will tell. Ours failed with no audible clicking or any other symptoms, it just quit.

Perfect fit
I bought a $25 part from another party online. It had two settings hot or cold no in between. 3 days after installation it started clicking again. Waste of money and time. Bought this part and it fit perfectly and have all the settings. Paid $70 after shipping and so far it's working great. Cheaper is not better. Wish I had bought this part from beginning save myself time and money. Not worth it to cheap out ppl buy once ( this part) and be done with it. I believe this part will last because of the quality and if it breaks again I will spend the extra money for a Ford approved part for sure. Like I said it's a much better quality part worth the extra money.
