I have a fireplace with decades of soot buildup from the previous owners. just one round of this took off a LOT of it - still have a bit to go but it looks much better now.

So full disclosure, I’m going to whitewash the fireplace tomorrow so I didn’t scrub super hard. I left this on just enough to put the cleaner on with the brush over the full fireplace and then I started at the beginning to wipe it off. I found a sponge was easier to wipe it off. And I also put down the plastic tarp that came with the whitewash kit. And I was glad since the brush sort of sprays it everywhere. Our fireplace hasn’t been used in years and it was the headboard for the bed in that room when we bought the house a year ago. This was the family room in the 70’s. No clue when that room was converted to the main suite. Basically I’m not sure when it was cleaned last but it didn’t seem super dirty. Where you see how well this product works is right above the boarded up hearth. Again, I barely scrubbed and it was left on there for maybe 15 minutes. Based upon just that part, I’d say, it’s a quick and easy product to use with amazing results.

I bought this to clean my fireplace stone , it states the brush comes with it, it did not , it did a good job cleaning but you need a brush to apply it,, it is a very thick lumpy foam like gel , I had to order a brush from another seller , Product is good but its very disheartening when you something is advertised falsely

Works good but you really have to rinse well to avoid a chalky residue film!!!
