Buen producto pero problemas de diseño
El orificio central es muy pequeño. Aunque el material y la calidad son muy buenos

You are going to be glad that you read this review
Like most savvy Amazon shoppers, I always look for the products with the most number of favorable reviews, as did this "Raised Toilet Seat by Vive." So I ordered one for the single toilet in my house that is used by my elderly father who lives with me, and who is recovering from a stroke. But when my item arrived, it was defective. The threads on the hand-turned screw, which is what is used to grip the product to your toilet, were stripped at one end, perhaps by a previous buyer who tried to fit it onto a toilet that was not accommodating. Since I could not tighten that screw, I returned the item to Amazon, and wondered if I should take a chance on buying a second one. However, I discovered another Raised Toilet Seat that looked identical to the one I had just returned, only it was being sold by a different company, and instead of the price being $59.99, it was $40.99. That is a savings of $19. So I ordered it, and sure enough, it was IDENTICAL to the one I had purchased for $19 more, and this one was not defective. I've attached a photo of them both side-by-side. Again, they are IDENTICAL. As far as the quality of the product itself goes, I'm satisfied. It arrives in three pieces, and you don't need to read the directions to figure out how to connect the two side arms to the seat itself. And you really don't need to read the directions to install it on your toilet. From the time I opened the box until the time it was installed was about 60 seconds. No tools needed, just two working hands. To un-install it from your toilet for cleaning takes 5 seconds. It raised my 14" toilet to 19." I tried it out myself, and it is quite sturdy, stable, and comfy. Although some of the reviewers complain that the hole is too small for a man, I'm a man, 6 feet tall and 185 pounds. I had no trouble taking care of business. Maybe if you can't fit in your mirror this product might be too small for you. So I recommend this raised toilet seat, but I recommend that you buy the one for $40.99, which is the EVA Medical Elevated Raised Toilet Seat & Commode Seat Riser sold by Med Shop and Beyond. OK, I just saved you $19. Please say a prayer for my dad. Thanks. Added Note: Just found what looks like another identical seat the can be purchased for just $26.22 here on Amazon: See the "Drive Medical Elevated Raised Toilet Seat with Removable Padded Arms, Standard Seat" by Drive Medical... Now you've saved $33.77!

Great toilet seat raised
Well, once again, this was a very easy install. It was easy to put on easy to turn the knob to make it very tight on the toilet so you didn’t have to worry about slipping and sliding the handles are very sturdy and my husband‘s been able to lift himself up with no problem and no fear. It’s a great product. Well done well made good work.!

Very functional - but a few things to keep in mind!
So, overall this raised toilet seat is great. I got it for my mom, as she is currently recovering from hip surgery. The seat stays very securely attached to the toilet with minimal installation. Also, the rails / frame are super easy to install AND remove and are covered in a nice spongey material that is easy to grasp onto. Just as a side note - she does have a pleasantly plump rear :) and told me that she would love for the seat to be a little wider and with a little more room between the railings, so make sure you measure the dimensions. We actually ended up removing one of the rails and it has worked fine and is a little more comfortable for her. But her booty just kind of "muffin tops" over the edges of the seat. She is not heavily overweight but is not petite either. Given that, there are a couple of important things to note about installation: First, I don't know about everyone else, but the sticker at the front of my seat shows that, in order to 'lock' the seat onto the toilet, you should turn counterclockwise. Well, this is completely incorrect! The correct instructions were in the installation booklet (photo attached), but I just thought it was so odd that the actual sticker on the seat was wrong. I wish I could remove a half star from my rating just for that! Second thing to note is that this seat ONLY works if the frame of your toilet (where the seat rests upon) is completely flat. This is hard to explain, but I've included some photos to try to help show what I mean... It took me a while to figure this out because the toilet that I originally tried this on has slightly curved edges instead of right angles (see photo). Therefore, there was no way for this seat to be installed without being unstable. We have a 2nd bathroom that I decided to try (with a "flatter" frame), and it literally took me 10 seconds to install it there, so I knew the issue was with the first toilet, not this seat. Aside from that, it's a great purchase and I would definitely recommend it. The ease of securing to and from the toilet also make cleaning very easy, which is nice :)

The best I've found
I've bought a few different types of raised toilet seats for my 91-year-old dad to use - at his house, at mine (after he moved in with me), and at a friend's house where we often go to dinner. I've bought different types, because there were always problems with the ones I had bought previously. I have bought two other types similar to this one, except that they needed to be mounted on the bolts that hold on the standard toilet seat. Neither of those was stable; they rotated up to a couple of inches unless one is very careful while sitting down and getting up. Note to the manufacturers: 90+-year-olds are not that careful, and they tend to need hospitalization when they fall. On the toilets in my house, I firmed them up by bracing them against the toilet tank using wood strips, which has worked. At my friend's house, doing the same thing caused the toilet tank to leak, requiring replacement of the toilet! Those seats are a major nuisance to remove and put back, which is a problem, because unpleasant fluids work their way underneath the seats, and can't be cleaned out without removing them from time to time. In contrast, this seat has been wonderful. It attached firmly without tools in no more than a few minutes, and did not require any trips to the hardware store to get it right. It is stable, and does not shift when one sits down and gets up. I did not buy it with the intention of using it on trips, but it should work well for that, because it is so easy to attach and detach. For the same reason, it will also be easy to clean underneath, since removing it does not require removing bolts. The only downside, if one worries about such things, is that it doesn't look as nice as the others, because the standard toilet seat doesn't attach over the riser, covering it. Frankly, I'd rather have one that works, so I'm more than pleased with this one. This appears to be the original manufacturer of this type of seat, and they offer customer service and a guarantee, which, happily, I haven't had to use. There are cheaper knockoffs available, but the reviews aren't as good, and they can't be returned if there's a problem. Buyer beware.
