As recommended by Alan Dunn. You do not need any other nose pliers.

I have used CK pliers for many years, professionally and for hobby jewellery making and they have always been the best for the job.

I bought a C.K Classic Snipe Nose Pliers in the early 90's, so almost 30 years ago, and in all that time, it had never failed to impress. Recently, in an act of sheer folly, employed in a job way out of its class, I managed to break it. I was elated to discover that they were for sale on Amazon, albeit at a much inflated price (I paid about £10 for it in the 90's) so I bit the bullet and ordered one. I would have expected a "Precision" tool like this to live up to the name, but imo, this is not the case (see photos). Granted, the 'business end' of the new pliers is fine, but look at the gaps on both sides where the two parts hinge. Compare it to its 25+ year old brother. Frankly I'm not impressed, and it has me regretting all the more having broken old faithful. C.K's engineering accuracy should have improved in the interim, instead it appears on a downward slope. I'm seriously considering returning it. Disappointed with this purchase to say the least.
