Dogtra YS600 Rechargeable Waterproof High-Output No Bark Collar

We have 4 dogs, 2 44 lb and 2 small ones, 3 lbs and 12 lbs. The larger dogs would bark at everything, all the time. We have 3 people who work from home, and it was awful, non-stop barking all day. We tried other bark collars with the remotes, and they didn't work at all. One collar would be set off by the other dog barking. We did a lot of research and decided to try the Dogtra YS600. I bought 2, and the first time we put them on, it was amazing. We actually had someone come to the door, they both started to bark, and 2 barks were all they did. They stopped immediately. We have had them for 4 days so far, and it is life-changing. They are quiet, and they can watch dogs outside walking by, and NO barking! Everyone is happier.

I have a 120lb Akita with thick fur who recently wants to bark at everything. Tried this collar and at first it looked very promising. Looks very sturdy and heavy duty. I did the vibration test to see if it was working properly after fully charging and it did nothing. Thought maybe I did not charge it all the way, so I plugged it back on and waited an hour. I t sted it again and it worked. I tried on my dog starting at level 4 and progressively went to level 6 within the next few days, as it did nothing for him. Big problem is that there is no indication that the collar is going off as there is no audible sound to confirm or going off when the dog barks, nor lights showing it works. So at this point, I don't know if the item is effective or just not working for my dog. I took the collar off completely after about 4-5 days then a few days after noticed a bump on the neck where the collar sat, thought maybe it was a rash from wearing it, but as I started looking, clumps of hair starting to come off, and the spot where the collar was ended up hairless and with a huge burnt on the skin. My dog is a big hairy Akita and at no point showed any signs of it hurting him or anything at all, but he is a tank so it might have not bother him at all. But now I'm gonna have to take him to the vet to make sure there is no infection or further injury. So an expensive collar now is going to turn into something even more expensive and jeopardized the dogs health and safety. Absolutely DO NOT BUY! This is something to literally sue the company for

A little update here: we thought these products were not working as good as they were at the beginning. Turns out, the leather collars we had on them at the same time as these collars were absorbing some of the shock. They were testing it, getting louder and louder. We thought there was something defective with the device. Took their leather collars were the problem. As soon as we took them off it changed everything. No more angry neighbors at our beastly Bloodhound. This works amazing. I have been through the ringer on collars for my bloodhound and this is the first one that works. She is a stubborn 125 lb hound dog with the neck the size of a freightliner and nothing has worked on her. My poor neighbors. Just a couple days with this collar and she is already responding to it. I will never buy a different collar ever again.

The collar works great for my dog. Being we now have a newborn child, his barking needed to be controlled a bit more. This collar has worked great for that.

I dont like the size of it but do like the UX and the simple and clear way of using it. Above all i like Dogtra brand stands for quality

I've had this for a week and it's worked great so far. I have only needed to use it 4 times and after the first four corrections to my separation anxiety-prone dog, he doesn't scream or howl in his crate anymore let alone hurt himself. I noticed that the collar was inconsistent with corrections - meaning he will howl and bark, be corrected, then continue to howl or bark immediately afterwards. Although my dog quickly caught on and realized that the vibration is a warning prior to the correction. He now settles down in his crate and sleeps most of the time I'm gone (up to 4 hours) without hurting himself in the crate or screaming his head off and bothering my neighbors (I live in an apartment). I do not recommend leaving the collar on your dog if you're gone for more than 4 hours. I also do not recommend keeping it on your dog all the time. I was recommended this collar by a few dog trainers - please contact your local dog trainer and work with them first before ever putting an ecollar on your dog. I DO recommend READING THE MANUAL and working with a trainer first and foremost before charging the collar and placing it on your dog. I also suggest buying a "dog cam" or some type of security cam to watch/monitor your dog with the collar. The collar did not correct my dog for any whining, do expect your dog to still whine with or without the collar. Dogs are animals, they whine from time to time. Don't get a dog if you can't stand fur or whining. DO NOT give your dog a kong, chew, or any toys whatsoever as the vibration from the chewing can trigger the collar to correct your dog for no reason. PLEASE test the collar before putting it on your dog (read the manual to figure out what I mean by "test the collar"). The collar is supposed to vibrate in warning before correcting the dog. I started off in the vibration-only mode the first day of having it on my dog and he completely ignored it (he has severe separation anxiety and will hurt himself in his crate). I only use level 1 and that's the only level I would personally use on my dog. My biggest goal was to stop my dog from hurting himself and to learn to relax independently without anyone being in the same room as him. I achieved that goal thus far with this collar and lots of training. I do NOT recommend a bark collar for dogs with reactivity, especially on walks. I have only used this collar for my dog's separation anxiety in his crate and when tethered in my household. The sole purpose of this collar is to correct his state of mind before he harms himself on anything within his environment (his crate bars, destroying furniture, etc.) Make sure to place the collar on a different spot near your dog's vocal cords on their throat each time you use the collar to avoid any irritation to the skin. If your dog has long hair, see if you can replace the metal prongs with longer ones. You can even buy Dogtra's "dummy e-collar" to prevent your dog from becoming "collar smart" without having to leave the actual collar on your dog.

I bought this product with the hope it helped me with the training for my dog. But it is not what I expected, it was a recommendation from my dog trainer and both of us had problems with the product I received, he was concerned as well since it is the one he always recommends when the dog needs it. The sensor is not working properly, it should react as soon as my dog barks, but nothing. We tried with 4 different dogs and different scenarios and we got the same results. It seems like the collar reacts when it wants. It has 10 levels besides the vibration and I didn’t even passed from level 1, because of the fear of hurting my dog. It is not safe and effective for my dog if the collar doesn’t react properly. I hope costumer services gives me a good solution, but just the fact I have to pay again to send the product back is exhausting…

Funciona según lo prometido, aunque los perros aprenden que, cuando no lo tienen puesto, sí pueden ladrar. En cuanto se lo quito, aprovecha para ladrar sin límtes. Si el perro aprende que después de la vibración hay un estímulo, puede aprender a detenerse después de pocos ladridos. Buen producto, bien diseñado y con construcción sólida.

I really like the Dogtra automatic bark collar. I have two of the remote models and stand by their product. Excellent quality and really waterproof!! I wanted this auto collar for my persistent barker (the one that starts it all for my 3 large breed dogs). She will still bark once but then it stops. I’m ok with an “alert” bark, but this really stops the constant barking when other dogs walk by our property. Worth the money!
