Works great cleaned up urine on a sofa with out ruining the leather

I have three dogs. Accidents happen. Sometimes they run through accidents outside and run inside and walk on the carpet. I'm always cleaning so my home doesn't smell like a barn. I've used the expensive store brands and find that they work, but, they are over priced and strongly scented -- I don't need a strong fragrance if the odor is eliminated at the source. I bought this product because Simple Green is a known brand. Reputable. It is the cheapest enzyme cleaner for cleaning up after dogs. I pour this into a garden pump sprayer. I'll lightly pretreat my carpet and simply walk away. I'll vacuum the next day or and shampoo when necessary. This product eliminates odors and I'm not sure how, but I also don't care -- some products encapsulate, others break down the biological waste and some do both. I don't see the sense in adding to my carpet cleaner, only for it to recover anything and suck it back up into the waste bin. There are much cheaper surfactants for that purpose. My preference is to use a garden pump before and/or after shampooing. Remember... the product needs contact time with the biological crap. If you don't use enough or don't let it sit long enough, then it won't work. A good enzyme should resolve odor problems just by lightly spraying a carpet; let it sit and work. Follow instructions for soiled areas.

Haven't seen any difference with dark stains on hardwood floors. Smells nice, cleans well gets rid of odors

I have purched this several times. It is great for animals and even kid messes. It pulls everything out of the carpet - and doesnt leave a strong smell.

I've repurchased this product many times now. It's very effective. We had two puppies back to back. They were both easy to train, but our little one, he pee's when he gets overly excited. Usually when someone arrives. So you can imagine the last thing I want is our oak wood floors sopping up the smell of urine right where you enter our home. This has worked excellent because it's an enzyme spray. The way we use it is we spray, clean it right away, and then spray again, let it sit for 2 minutes and then wipe it. We don't dry it. We let it air dry. It works great because our floors have no urine scent.

I used a different formula containing enzymes in the past, to neutralize pet odors - on carpets, rugs, pillows and laundry. It did a great job. When product raised price, I decided to give Simple Green a try. (It’s rather pricey too, but if it can get rid of the “sweaty hound” type odors that plague my home, more naturally, it was worth a try. Scent is okay, but more chemical than its competition. It removed stains and dog odor, yet retains the smell of the product, that I’m not fond of. It turns out that our dog, (eight year old Shih-Tzu), notorious for widespread allergies, is also allergic to Simple Green. Anything washed or treated, caused him to itch all over, incessantly. Sadly, I was irresponsible introducing the new cleaner, and didn’t make the connection for a week or so. I suggest initially using this product sparingly with a watchful eye, to assert your furry child, or skin children, are not sensitive to it.

I’ve tried a lot of enzyme cleaners and this one smells the best. It’s almost like a body wash smell. It works wonders too. I came across another review that claims this doesn’t remove stains and then showed a photo of them showing a stain using a UV Light. The spots you see under UV lighting are not stains, they’re where the urine basically bleaches the carpet fibers, and there’s nothing you can do about that. This product does in fact take out stains, but it can’t unbleach carpet. Here’s an excerpt from an article I found on Google: “As urine sits on the fiber, it turns into an alkaline and is riddled with alkaline salts. This high alkalinity can eventually remove the coloring in the carpet, producing a bleaching effect.” This is why it’s important to try and not let urine messes sit for an extended period of time. If you’re able to get the urine up quickly, it won’t bleach the carpet.

Product worked on old dog pee stains on our carpet. Some old stains were done three times before stain disappeared. One stain I took out my portable carpet cleaner for dog mishap and worked on it with hot water, after the carpet dried the stain was gone. This product was well worth it and cleared up 8 stains and there is still a lot left. The after smell is also a fresh type smell that is not overpowering. I am glad i chose it.

I purchased this product regularly when it was made in New Zealand. Although the ingredients appears to be the same, it smells different and leaves wooden surfaces looking cloudy, which creates more cleaning to get rid of the cloudiness.

What an underrated product! This is great value, compared to pet store brands and prices. I really like this product for cleaning pet urine, the fragrance is fresh too. Only drawback is that it is a bit streaky on hard floors.
