Great item, bad price
We bought this for my grandson's birthday (he's 8). He loves it and it's a nice quality set, but I am so disappointed in Amazon's price. The exact same set is $[...] at [...]. I didn't check first and should have. Usually Amazon's prices are very competitive, and I don't worry about them being fair. A lesson learned. Buy the set - it's great - but don't pay double at Amazon. Get it at [...].

The toy is great, the manual is lacking in steps though.
My son is 7 and wanted this toy after seeing it on TV. It took me about 45 minutes to put it together. The illustrations in the manual shows steps, but they add on pieces in the pictures without telling you, so it was really easy to miss key parts and have to back track. He played with it at first and took care not to tear it apart, for about 48 hours. The first time he decided to take it apart, he lost a lot of the small pieces. I would recommend providing your child with a ziploc bag or bin if he/she wants to take it apart. Or else the pieces will end up in your vaccumm.

My lego-loving nephew got a kick out of this!
2 of his fave things: spongebob and legos- 2 great tastes that go great together! LOL! Seriously, he's a whiz at these things, so it was assembled in about and hour and a half. He loves it, though. When it was finished he was ready to do another one, so I guess that's my only complaint- that it was a bit too basic and was quick to put together. Nonetheless, he was thrilled and it's actually a very clever set up, so it's all good.

Who doesn't love Lego? Who doesn't find Lego pieces somewhere in ...
Who doesn't love Lego? Who doesn't find Lego pieces somewhere in the house or yard at some point? This set has a theme about the Krusty Krab and my Grandson loved it, but after awhile, it wasn't the Krusty Krab anymore. It was just part of a bigger set of Lego. All the Grandkids play with the Lego all over the house and yard and put it in a big bucket afterwards. Some of the Legos escape, though. But, if you want to make a kid happy, get a themed set of Lego.

Great fun :-)
My 8 year old son got this for his birthday. Legos are always great but spongebob makes them even better. It also has moving parts which is cool. Took us about 1 1/2 hour to put it together (with picture and step by step instructions) and we had a great time together! All the pieces were there!

too many little pieces
There were a thousand little pieces with very hard to understand directions. This is not good for smaller children. My 6 yr. old. gave up on it. It took an adult a long time to figure out how to put it together. Once together, the kids played for a short period of time and got bored. It is not something to take apart and put together repeatedly.

LEGO SPONGEBOB THE KRUSTY KRAB
THIS IS A NICE TOY FOR A KID, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS IT HAS A LOT OF PIECES AND SOME OF THEM WERE MISSING WHEN WE OPENED IT. THEY NEED TO COUNT THE PIECES BEFORE THEY PACKAGE IT.

Bikini Bottom fun... eventually
In our home the Spongebob fan is 6-years old. The problem is that the subject matter appeals to kids too young to assemble the product. However, once it was together he enjoyed it thoroughly. He takes good care of his 'stuff' so the Krusty Krab still stands a month after assembly was complete. A child who is tough on his or her toys will not get much use from this set as the completed building is typically fragile.

The set itself it’s great one of my favourite (Although I my be baised) the seller said it was in good condition when it wasn’t the same colour bricks were in different shades the white has been heavily discoloured and the stickers were peeling off not worth £90 for a set that originally sold for £30

Very basic set, poorly designed. Regretting the £100 I dropped on this.
