Memory Card Plus for Nintendo 64

Many people have discredited this card as being one that doesn't work properly with an N64. They will say it saves their data initially, but won't read correctly after shutting the system off.To understand why this happens you need to learn how N64 memory cards function. Unlike Playstation memory cards, all N64 memory cards (1st and 3rd party) have an internal CR2032 button cell battery. Even if you buy one of these brand new today chances are you will have problems because of the dead battery. These 3rd party memory cards are notorious for having cheap batteries inside that die quickly.The nice thing about these Memory Card Plus Memory Cards by Performance are that they have a replaceable battery slot that can be accessed easily with just a phillips screw driver. Keep in mind that there is super glue applied to the sides of the inside of the memory card that need to be carefully removed with a spudger or guitar pick. Afterwards you have easy access to the battery slot. Simply buy a new CR2032 battery for a $1 and replace the stock button cell by sliding out the old one and putting the new one in.You now have a fully working memory card that doesn't corrupt and holds more game data than the first party Nintendo memory card (which actually has it's battery soldered to the PCB unlike this one!)Remember that these products are decades old. No need to leave a bad review, just do a little research first!

Had save data from Turok on it already and other games. I was hoping for that but after a few minutes i went ahead and deleted them all. Too many EA games and as we all know they can eat up your whole memory card in any system.But works just fine in all games that required it.

Some games think the card is corrupt but it still works.

Did not work, memory could not even be rebuilt. Returned it.
