Oral-B have so many toothbrushes out there that my head was spinning as fast as their brush head! I looked at the Braun website for some clarity on the new iO range to no avail so I asked myself a simple question. Do I really need an all singing and dancing toothbrush that costs as much as a second hand car? No! was the simple answer! My old braun electric toothbrush lasted 5 years RIP. My dentist was happy that my teeth were clean with no nasty build ups so I decided to go for another Genius. This toothbrush does everything you need. It has an everyday clean setting, deep clean, whitening and gentle when your gums are feeling tender. There is even a setting for cleaning your tongue! It's easy to use and needs charging every 2-3 weeks or so. There are also a range of different heads from floss action, precision clean, whitening and even one for cleaning between the teeth! (Note: these brush heads are nearly a third cheaper than the ones for the new iO range.) If you want an excellent toothbrush and are not fussed about AI and an app that tracks your every move, get the Genius or Genius X before they assigned to the toothbrush graveyard!

This is a fantastic product and a great replacement for my old Oral B brush which is now over 12 years old. I generally go and buy the top tier of any product if I can afford it and I have not been disappointed with this brush. Right from the first use, it has shown a marked improvement over my old brush. It's lighter and just feels better in my hand. In the companion app, you can select different journeys or projects. I selected the plaque fighting option and the app guides you to a perfect brush with a clear diagram of your mouth on screen. The case has built in a little phone cradle so you don't have to precariously lean your smart phone against shampoo bottles while you brush. My teeth after just one brush are visibly cleaner. There was a bit of visible plaque in-between two of my teeth and now it's barely visible. That clean feel is amazing. You can track any bleeding also which is a nice extra to see how the gum massage this brush gives you, affects any bleeding as time goes on. I like the medals you get also. A bit of a gimmick but I can imagine thst this is going to fare well with people who like to have a bit of a competition with themselves. Like the lunch time brush. I don't usually do that but I think I want that medal... It's an expensive product but think of the cost of dental repair that this can help avoid. If you can afford it (perhaps using Amazon's monthly payments?) you should go for it.

Initially I was pleased with this product. I liked the coaching app for brushing and how it alerted you to when you were brushing too hard. Have to say after a while the novelty of switching the app on when brushing wore off. Particularly in the mornings when I had an early start and did my usual of rushing out of the house. Then it just stopped working. It ran for about 5 seconds and then died. Luckily it was still under warranty and is being repaired but have to say for nearly 300 quid it really isn’t all that. I have had cheaper battery operated ones that do Just as well brushing wise and can’t really see the justification to pay as much as I did. Glad it’s still under warranty but if I had the option with the insight I have now I’d have spent about 50 quid on a brush rather than buy this one.

Lovely toothbrush, battery doesn't last anywhere near 2 weeks, altho u do get a travel pack with it which I've not used yet and presumably that charges up to give extra charge to the toothbrush when its docked there so it may go 2 weeks. Bluetooth is hit and miss, sometimes comments str8 away, other times I've got to since it but the app I'd anything makes me brush my teeth a lot better and longer than I have b4 so that's worked if anything. The toothbrush itself has 5 modes and is actually great, very powerful and does a really good deep clean, my teeth after 1st use had felt so clean or fresh in years so the toothbrush is really good albeit expensive for a toothbrush but u pay for what u get I suppose. All in all if u have the cash it's a fantastic toothbrush

I’ve been using the Oral-B electric toothbrush, and while I was initially impressed, I encountered an issue after one year. The Good: When it worked, it was excellent. The cleaning performance was fantastic—my teeth felt polished and dentist-clean after every use. The multiple cleaning modes were a nice touch, catering to different needs like sensitive teeth or a deeper clean. The battery life was decent, lasting a few days between charges, and the brush heads were easy to replace (albeit a bit pricey). The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, just after hitting the one-year mark, the toothbrush started malfunctioning. First, the battery wouldn’t hold a charge as long, and eventually, it stopped working altogether. For an item at this price point, I expected more durability. Final Thoughts: While it delivers excellent cleaning when it works, the lifespan of the product was disappointing. If you’re okay with the possibility of replacing it after a year, it’s a good investment for short-term performance. Otherwise, you might want to explore other options with better longevity.

Die Zahnbürste ist im Vergleich zu oral B. IQ ein Witz. Außerdem ist sie nach vier Jahren einfach kaputt gegangen..

It doesn't come cheap. But like they say: you can't put a price on health, and in this case, that's oral health. I was shocked at how accurately the Oral-B app knew where exactly the Genius toothbrush was in my mouth at any given moment while brushing, and how it was quickly able to tell me that I was pressing too hard in certain areas. It's pretty unique and does seem to work really well!

Leider ist bei diesem Produkt kein deutlicher Hinweis, dass das Ladegerät in Deuschland nicht funktioniert.

Unfortunately after 10 months use it fails to hold charge. I sent it to service centre under the Warranty. They confirmed it was faulty and was covered under the Warranty. But they demanded aed200 to replace it! Warranty states if product is faulty it will be replaced free of charge. So this is very disappointing.
