Easiest transformer and I’ve had at least 5. Easier than my Hampton bay one that quit and the sun removed all the lettering and each time I had to reset the timer on Hampton bay I’d have to pull up a YouTube video.This is so easy to set up. Just hold down times on off and up /down arrow til it’s your desired time set.Turn the knob to timer or whatever you want. I like to control mine with a timer. I like the front cover housing to protect the sun from zapping off the lettering!

This is a nice power pack with good weatherproofing. I tried a couple others that have keypads on exposed surfaces and eventually had water damage or total unit failure. I have used Malibu before, so I decided to try this pack. It is well weatherproofed, with all controls under a flip-up cover. No water is ever getting near the controls or the display. This pack is also very easy to setup. I use the Dusk-on/Time-off mode, which is perfect for our lighting. I would recommend this power pack.

This is the second Malibu I’ve bought. The last one lasted maybe three years and it’s not hooked to a lot of lights. 6 total led. But other than that it works like it should. Easy set up.

*Update 11-26-18* I purchased this kit about 6 months ago, July 2018. 8 lights, 200 watt transformer, 20 watt bulbs all should be well right? Wrong, after running the lights for a few months I had bulbs burn out in the lights. I replaced the bulbs and the transformer started to trigger a safety reset. When I asked the seller about it, they claim that the transformer really can only handle 150 watts. I asked how could they sell 160 watts worth of lights if the transformer is rated for 150? Why state it is a 200 watt transformer if it is only rated for 150? The representative couldn't answer that question. What I'm starting to believe is they shipped the lights with 10 watt bulbs and when I started updating to the 20 watt bulbs it drew more power and the transformer is now useless for what I thought would be a great lighting kit and by a great brand, Malibu. Very disappointed and need to now run a second transformer to finish updating my exterior lights. Easy to install, no buzzing noise, easy mount. Very east to program and use as well.

This is a real nice Power Pack for the price and easy to install and setup. The only CON is the timer is a little difficult to set. I understand that it has more features that the old type with the push-on stop for the time but takes a bit to get it setup. Other than that, it works perfectly with my landscape lights.

I've had the Malibu 200 watt low voltage transformer for 5 years now. It started working improperly about a month ago. Couldn't set the time, or the ON/OFF time. I came here, read all the bad reviews and figured it was shot, so I ordered a new one. Which showed up overnight. I read the instructions and figured I'd try them with the old one before installing the new one. Ta. Da. I pressed the Reset button a couple times, cleaned the spider webs off the photo eye, and read how to set the clock and the timer. And it works just fine. So now I have to send the new one back. Fine by me, even if I have to eat the shipping charges. If yours doesn't seem to work right, press the red Reset button underneath. Wipe the photo eye clean. To set the clock, turn the selector knob to CLOCK, then press and hold the white clock button and the up/down buttons. To set the ON/OFF timers, turn the selector knob to TIMER, then press and hold the TIMED ON or TIMED OFF buttons and the up/down buttons. I'm going to write this down on a card and tape it inside the unit's door. Duh on me. I'm also replacing my landscape lights halogen bulbs with LED ones. They use just 4w instead of 30w, so the load on the transformer will be a lot less, and I expect it will then last just about forever. The bulbs last years too, instead of the 8 months I get out of the bargain brand halogens.
