Quickbooks: The QuickBooks Complete Beginner's Guide - Learn Everything You Need To Know To Keep Your Books

I think this book is absolutely brilliant for any person just starting their own business. In the excitement, and fear, of starting your own business people don't think about keeping books and looking after their fledgling accounts and yet it is vital. I wish this book had been around when I started my business. I was a slave to "double entry" bookkeeping and yet with this software and this book it would have been so much easier, and quicker. The author takes you slowly and methodically through the concept behind bookkeeping and then logically and easily show you how to use this software and how to get the most out of it. It is a must for any budding entrepreneur.

Not really helpful. It is like an owners manual, things are superficially addressed. But then again QuickBooks is a very sophisticated software and I don't think a small book can do it justice. Therefore, I don't really blame the author. I just don't think the book is very helpful. Its probably best taking a short online or in person course for a more in depth learning.

I am completely disappointed with this book. It does not tell you "everything you need to know about Quickbooks" at all. Not even remotely. The title was completely misleading in my very humble opinion. While it does tell you how things are suppose to work it doesn't tell how to get to them. If you have a basic knowledge of accounting you know as much as this book tells you. I would not recommend this book. Ever.

A book equipped with all the essential things needed to know about the use of quickbooks for business and bookkeeping. Any reader would be able to easily comprehend the contents as it is very understandable. It’s really a great guide for beginners and one could learn a lot. With this book as a reference, one could easily manage things in a business and very helpful as the software provides various process of accounting into a single user-friendly system. It helps lessen the accounting tasks and also makes the work easier. I’ve learnt a lot through this book.

Good overview of the system, but light on specifics. If you are a beginner this helps frame the product, however you will need a more detailed "how to" guide to actually do some work.

That is the guide that is so helpful and it is the basic knowledge that we need. A software that helps viewing all the status used in business. Like finances, generate reports etc. All we need is to explore this software that is so very amazing . All we need is to follow all the guides that really important in our business. That's is the complete guide that all we need to become success in our business. Thanks for sharing this important guide that has a big role in the line of business.

The book contains quirky idioms and strange phrases that make me think the author is not a native English speaker. While this issue is not a book killer in itself, I returned to my purchase page and began reading the reviews. I noticed similar quirky language and awkward phrasing appearing over and over again in almost all of the 3, 4 and 5 star reviews. As with other one and two star reviewers, I am concerned that there are no screen shots, few menu references, zero short-cuts, run-on paragraphs, and no mention of the Quickbooks version that make this little book very hard to read and impossible to endorse. The Kindle copy was not worth the $2.99 I paid to download it. I have to agree with the review One Star, by Phong N. "Don't waste a dime on it."

This is the perfect guide for us beginners in using QuickBooks 2016 edition. This is very informativrle and fun to learn! It makes someone's life easier, and at the same time can make you more productive on their activities. I love how the author gives tricks and strategies when you get troubled using it. I win definitely apply what I learned here in my daily use of QuickBooks. Kudos to you, sir Ralph mckinnon! This is a highly educational and recommendable book!

It has purely a text description, no shots of what the computer screen might have. If you are fully conversant with Quickbooks it may be useful but for a complete starter very unhelpful. One star rating rather generous.

There is way too much text and no examples to follow. Reading does not help when trying to learn a program.

Easy simple read, did appreciate the large font. Was hoping for a lot more details.
