Nature's Answer Milk Thistle 2 Ounce Extract - Alcohol Free, Non GMO, Liver Support Supplement for Everyone. I can't say I have personally tried this Milk thistle, but I've been using it for about 5 years on one of my birds for her Fatty Liver Condition (caused by me letting her eat too many seeds :( ), and she is thriving between her healthier diet & her milk thistle which she gets twice daily. She is now 20 yrs old, so she has lived longer than another bird like her that only lived to be 1/2 her age because by the time we discovered the Fatty Liver on him, he died before we could institute treatment. Certain breeds of birds are more prone to this condition than others & is primarily caused by a diet too high in fatty seeds (or other fatty foods). She definitely has more energy, it's easy to give to her, she seems to have no digestive effects or side effects from the Milk Thistle Extract. If you have a bird diagnosed with Fatty Liver, talk to your veterinarian about this supplement for proper dosing as well as a healthy change in diet.

I had been using a different product, ordered here on Amazon, because this brand was not available.The other product did help BUT THE PROGRESS TOWARD HEALING WAS VERY SLOW.When this bottle arrived I immediately switched to this one and the healing response was amazing.I have used this brand for DECADES for various issues with our small dogs at our sanctuary.I am a retired RN and am very qualified to monitor changes in health when a treatment is initiated. I have focused almost exclusively on natural and holistic approaches to health and healing for my entire career.In short……THIS PRODUCT WORKS. My small dog loves it.I use this product at our dog sanctuary.

I LOVE this brand of milk thistle. As a life longer drinker of wine (and other things) since the age of 16 (I am now 62), I only started getting liver pain more recently, off and on, when I tried to drink like I was still young. Totally stupid, I know. Anyway, using this liquid milk thistle combined with giving my liver a couple months rest has me feeling very revitalized and healthy. After 2 months of abstinence, I cautiously had 2 glasses of red wine while I cooked dinner last week and was delighted to find that I had no liver pain or discomfort at all by this time. I am using this product every day for general health and keeping the drinking to a minimum. Also, this MT has a vegetable base, not an alcohol one. I know this sounds crazy but I actually have learned to like the taste. The liquid is easy to swallow and its priced reasonably. Totally happy with this product!!

My exotics veterinarian recommended milk thistle to add to my pet’s daily medication as a way to help shrink her liver (as found under an X-ray). Seemed odd to me to do this, but at 6 month recheck there was a reduction in size and the milk thistle has been tolerated it well. No smell or taste that I can discern when taking it myself. But overall it’s improved her quality of life, which is the most important thing for my Rose.

I have bought this brand of milk thistle tincture several times. I always take a dose after I have a glass or two of wine to support my liver. Milk thistle is a great liver detoxer. The taste isn’t too bad. I can easily swallow it and then drink water afterwards. The price is decent.

Over a year ago, my then 10 year old mixed breed was diagnosed with elevated liver enzymes which the doctor attributed to possible Cushings. In order to be diagnosed with the actual disease/disorder, I'd have to put him through a battery of tests and additional stress that I didn't want to do to him, so I began to do research into possible holistic/natural methods to help with the elevated liver enzymes. I discovered a lot of research that was made and clinical trials that involved milk thistle. Since I know alcohol is not good for dogs, I decided to give Nature's Answer a try. While I have not gotten his enzymes checked again, I did discuss what I was using with his vet who also practices holistic veterinary medicine. She agreed that this is a natural remedy for the liver that can certainly help. He is now almost 12, and this along with adding flax seed lignans to his diet, has definitely impacted his energy level. I have gone through numerous bottles and will continue to use this as part of his diet. We put so many toxins into and onto our dogs in trying to keep them safe from internal parasites, fleas, and ticks. Their livers take the brunt from use of these pesticides along with immunizations. It's just a way to help protect their bodies using a substance found in nature that cannot hurt and can only really help. I highly recommend this to anyone with a dog or cat.
