Thompson's Waterseal 24104 Quart Water Seal Multi-Surface Waterproofer

Sealed my deck. Easy to use. Will best be able to judge its value once it rains. Water should bead up. But no rain since sealed. But brand is good and I do expect it to work

Thompsons changed their formula some time in the past few years to be water based. The old version was solvent based - and penetrated better and dried out so you could not tell there was sealer on the surface. Now the new formulation does not penetrate as well and does not dry out evenly, leaving a splotchy appearance. WATCH THE PRODUCT NUMBERS in the second half of the UPC code because the old formulations start with a "1" as in 10104, and the new formulations start with a "2" as in 20104...the vendor in this listing mistakenly used the old number in the listing, but sent the new formula (different number starting with a 2) by mistake. The cans look identical in all respect except for recommending clean up with soap and water on the new product, and with mineral spirits for the better old product. The vendor made everything right and refunded my money, and is not really to blame since the cans look so similar...Thompsons should do a better job communicating the new product formulation because the new stuff just does not work very well at all, especially on a fine concrete surface. BEWARE AND WATCH THE NUMBERS

The product is good,(I've used it many times) but amazon packaging was terrible and the container was damaged and leaked.

This product from Thompsons works wonderful. But I believe I could have got it cheaper if I just went to a store that carries it. Not sure about that I will check. Plus it took over a month to get. So buy it ata store if you can gt it cheaper. Like I said not sure about that.
