Bright, Spacious, Great Lightbox Board
I purchased this lightbox and am completely happy about how it fits into my work flow. It came with a surface scratch on the black frame and the box was roughed up and resealed during shipping, but as there is no marks on the light board itself I am content with keeping it. It is unwieldy but, considering the size, that is to be expected. You aren't going to travel with this monster. The adjustable back light is an eye-saver during long hours of work, the size is perfect for large projects and the thinness of the board resting on the horizontal slats of my drawing table allows me to tilt my drawing table to a comfortable angle. (see picture)I can not speak about the durability of the board but considering the trauma during shipment (or is this a returned resale item?), it seems to be well made. I'll report back in a couple of months.I would definitely recommend this Lightbox board.

Great for photo silkscreen - UPDATE
This works terrific for what I use it for — I print out images on clear film, coat my silkscreens with a light sensitive emulsion, and then use the light pad to “burn” the image into the screen for printing. The light is SO even the exposures are perfect!8.7.21. One day I went to turn it on and it didn't work. I contacted the company for customer support by phone and the fellow I talked to suggested it could be the adapter: I asked if they would provide a new one or if I could purchase one, and he said they didn't have them in stock and suggested I purchase a Universal Adapter. I did, and that didn't work. I followed up by emailing for support and this time was asked to send all the info on the adapter; I did, and was told I had bought the wrong one. I was told to get one that was 16 watts. Amazon had them in 12, 15 and 18, so I wrote again and asked which one would be best and was told to buy the 18. That didn't work either. At this point I wrote the company and asked if I should send it back to them for repair or replacement - it was still under warranty - and after a couple more emails was told that it wasn't in stock anymore and that I would get a refund. That came through today on my credit card. While it took several communications back and forth, I am pleased with the refund. In the mean time I bought the next largest light pad I could find for only $64.00 and it works well. Still don't know what happened but I am using this one on a surge strip.

Great light master
I am not a very good drawer and I like to trace pencil drawings onto watercolor paper so that I can paint on. I like keeping the original drawing so that if I mess up, I can just make another copy from my light master tracer. It is 9 x 12 as is a lot of your good watercolor paper. That is another must.....great quality watercolor paper such as 140 lb. It is not too heavy to where you cannot see what you are tracing such as the 300 lb.

Has a wonky flicker flaw & not bright enough.
I had the super large size of this light pad and it was AMAZING! Totally different experience. If you have a studio, I recommend getting the bigger size.I sold the big one since I rarely do large projects and it was just not as portable. This size is great and portable and does the job.Two particular complaints. The biggest issue is when you power this size light pad on, it sort of flickers as it comes up to brightness. Then, most times, it just fades off again. I returned the first one I bought and the replacement does the same thing. I basically power it up and when it immediately starts to power itself down, I hit the power button again. Sometimes do this a couple times before the light pad stays on. To me this is a design or production flaw in this size model.Second issue, it is just not that bright. The larger size was super-bright and powered through multiple layers of anything reasonable that I used it with. This 9x12 size? It does the job. Mostly. It is a bit muted rather than bright white light. It also just does not shine through even the one layer of paper I am drawing on.A bit disappointed in the quality of this one. I LOVE the damn thing. And I really do not want any other brand or product. This one is just not as good as it could be.

Dumb idea...
Why do they put touch sensitive buttons on the front of a drawing tablet you will be resting your hands and arms on!?!?! Old fashioned mechanical switches are what is needed for these.

it worked great. It is supposed to have 50
Very unhappy with this device. It is possible I just happen to get a defective one. The first 3 times I used it, it worked great. It is supposed to have 50,000 hours of use but after only about 5 hours in total (over 3 uses) it flickers constantly and it seems as though the connector itself does not sit securely in its port. May have to look for an alternative.

Had to send back
I deliberately bought this because it’s made in the USA. I really liked this light pad, but I had to send it back because there was a problem with the cord and where it plugged into the unit. It would not power on or stay lit and had to be manipulated to turn on. Looking for something else that has a more sturdy cord or wireless.

Great Item For Doing Calligraphy As Well As Many Other Projects
I was so thrilled to find this product! I do calligraphy, and some of the work I do is addressing wedding invitation envelopes. I have a lined insert for the envelopes that is IMPOSSIBLE to use if the envelopes are not see-through. Most wedding invitation envelopes are medium to heavy weight. My husband had built me a light table about 12 years ago, but it was extremely heavy and awkward to use. Upon searching the internet, I found the Lightmaster and I absolutely LOVE it!!! Not only can I use it to do my calligraphy, it also comes with a USB cable so it can be connected to a computer to upload images for tracing, which is great for kids to trace pictures for school or just for fun. I also like that the backlight's brightness is adjustable, although it can be tricky to get it to the desired brightness without shutting it down completely. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
