Are these stools sturdy? Will they support a man of 280 lbs?

I 5'1" and 120 lbs. I haven't had anyone over 200 lbs sat on them so I can't give you a confirmation. But I think it's sturdy enough. I love them.

It goes down whenver I am sitting on the stools. Is this normal? My weight is 110lbs.

When first sitting on the stool there will be small drop ( maybe an inch) if it is more than that maybe the lever isn't locking where it should. I weigh two more pounds than you do! Hope this helps you.

Do you happen to sell the bases separately? we have a set and two bases have broken after only a year. (we are all 170lbs and under)

It seem like 170 lbs is too much for these eloquent stools, maybe. I'm about to order them now. I weigh 150 LBS.
