why does this not have an OFF button???

you can just hold down any button for three seconds, and it will turn off

I have just had this pad for three months but now when I turn it on all three lights on the heating levels start to blink and it will not heat up. ??

Mine also, worked well for a 1½ months, then all three buttons started blinking and won't heat up.. Waste of money!!

Will this work both in US and Europe? i.e. both 110/220?
