The connector block is rated 45 amps so if no more than 45 total Amps flows through the connector block you should be ok. I can’t be more specific without your setup detail. For example if the charger was providing 30 amps and the solar was providing 40 amps you would exceed the 45 amp total. Do your setup needs to be designed to limit total amps to 45. Hope this helps.

Can there connectors be turned 90 degrees (without soldering) to accommodate Goal Zero plug configurations?

I seriously doubt it. The connectors are in pretty solid and the buss bars will be hard to deal with. Suggest you make a short jumper (converter) with the correct connector on one end.

Can this work to run led light strips in parallel?

Yes. Your only concern is total amperage draw. (30 amps) as all pairs are in parallel. Mine works as it should.
