Review: Great option for my 7 year old wanting to learn - My son is only 7, but his school had an assembly with yo-yo pros and wanted to give it a go. Not only is it “cool” (his words), but this is a great option for beginners as well as intermediate. I followed a few YouTube videos to appropriately cut the string to his height and even doubled looped the string at the yo-yo itself to help him bring it back up (responsive) until he gets more comfortable with the technique. It also comes with the non-responsive pieces to switch out once he becomes more skilled for additional tricks. The case included is a nice hard-shelled zipper style and allows him to attach to his backpack. It’s made well. He’s a fan and I would recommend. Side note: I was tempted to purchase some of the 2packs this manufacturer makes, but I decided to start with the K1, assuming it was the lower tier of models. Now knowing how well he’s doing with this one, when he’s ready for additional yo-yos, we’ll definitely go for the 2packs which include the K2 and K3.

I bought this 2-pack of MAGICYOYO K1s for my kids, and they’ve been a pretty solid toy so far. The yoyos are responsive, easy for beginners to use, and durable enough to handle all the drops and crashes that come with kids learning new tricks. They spin smoothly and return reliably, which is perfect for young players who are just getting the hang of it. The only downside — and it gave me a good laugh — is that you have to tie all the strings yourself. Not a huge deal, but definitely a little annoying when you’re trying to get your kids playing right away. Still, once the strings are set up, the yoyos work great. Overall, they’re fun, sturdy, and great for beginners. Just be prepared for a little string-tying session before the fun starts!
