Hexhider Magnetic Allen Wrench

Very handy. Always to hand and solid, the magnet doesn't budge!

It’s been a while since I had a guitar with a Floyd Rose trem, and I’d forgotten what a faff it was needing an Allen key all the time. The old solution was always to screw some sort of holder to the back of your headstock, adding holes and devaluing your guitar in the process. Happily I found this wee bugger. Like all genius ideas, this is so simple! I can’t believe it doesn’t come packed with every locking trem! It’s the hex key you need for string changes/re-tuning, with a magnet to snap it onto a tuner. The magnet is strong- you are NOT going to lose it no matter how much you throw your guitar about. I just need a smaller one now for my D-tuna (please make one HexHider!) Full marks for a brilliant bit of kit!

I always have to make sure my guitar toolkit is nearby when I'm playing gigs, "just in case," so this is brilliant for me. It sticks really well to a tuning peg and is right at hand if I need the Allen key for tuning issues etc. The magnet is good, it's small enough to not be noticeable and works great.

Brilliant little gadget. Maybe a little overpriced for what it is. Saved my life on a couple of occasions at live shows where my guitar needs retuning from the nut at sound check and my tools are buried deep in a pile of cases back stage! Word of caution - the magnet isn’t very strong so I have lost a couple attached to my headstock which dropped off during a show. Problem is they are black and stages are black…and dark! Never found them. Solution: I now attach mine to the side of one of my pedals on my pedalboard so I always know where it is in an emergency.

Useful and fits my evh wolfgang special nicely. Hasn't fallen off yet.

For those of you who are familiar with the EVH Wolfgang, you will know that there is not a lot of space on the back of the headstock for a conventional hex key holder. Not only that, I didn't fancy screwing a holder into it or even using sticky tape. This is ideal. Fits perfectly and has a fairly good magnet. So why only four stars? Simple.... the price.

Great. Magnet is strong enough to prevent moving but not strong enough to worry about affecting the guitar. Handy little tool. Fits my low end Floyd Rose just fine.

Locking tremolo’s are a pain because you need tools. This simple tool replaces the most needed tool for locking terms making life a little easier for $10. No complaints.

I didn't know this was a thing, until I was sick of having to search for an Allen wrench to tune this guitar again. I was actually looking for something that I would have to drill and screw on my guitar to hold one when I found this. If I were gigging this guitar, I don't know if I'd trust this to stay there since a magnet isn't as reliable as a screwed in holder. But since this guitar lives at home, this is perfect. A+. Would buy it again.
