The Wedding Book: An Expert's Guide to Planning Your Perfect Day--Your Way

This book has been a God-send. I bought a few other books right after getting engaged and this is the only one I reference. I am the first of my siblings and closest friends to get married and have only been to a handful of weddings so I literally didn’t know anything. This book breaks everything down for you: when to book each vendor, what questions to ask (I always keep this book on hand during potential vendor calls), and then the basics like in what order the bridal party typically walks down the aisle and goes to the level of detail that it explains all the types of bustles you can add to your wedding dress. (That’s a great example - I had no idea a bustle was pretty much required for ease of dancing until I read this book). The writer clearly has planned weddings for some very wealthy people and my budget is pretty average, but I still found the advice helpful and she does give you tips on what you can cut to save money in different areas. I can’t recommend it enough and will be giving this as a gift to any friend or family member who becomes engaged in the future! Note: there is a smallish planning section with checklists, charts, etc. at the back of the book. I do all of my planning in Excel and using The Knot’s wedding planning tools because I prefer that to paper, so I can’t really review that section of the book.

This has everything you need, all in one! Planning a wedding is already overwhelming, which did not improve when I started the search online and the vast amounts of information and "advice" was elevating my anxiety and stress. Since I have purchased this book, all the extra online research has stopped, their just is no need. This book literally covers everything and more, and all from one of the most well-renowned wedding and events planner in the industry. I certainly do not have the budget as some of the weddings she has catered to, but that is just it her book and advice is tailored for everyone. Her advice has saved me many a headache but most importantly simplified the planning, and made it exciting and enjoyable.

This book helped me feel more in control of the wedding planning process, instead of completely behind and overwhelmed. There are tons of helpful tips about every wedding topic from dress shopping to tent flooring. I really appreciate the broad applicability of many sections, where the author talks about how things would be adjusted for a smaller budget, an international venue, or special cultural traditions. As someone who got engaged knowing nothing about event planning, this was an extremely useful resource. Sincerely, a 2027 bride!

The Wedding Book is exactly the comprehensive guide I was hoping for when I started planning my wedding. This book has been a lifesaver. Filled with some great information about wedding planning. Made sturdy and arrived on time. I have used this a lot since I started planning my wedding.

Very informative great ideas & advice but not useful to ppl of color for skin care ]l of color dont need tan since it naturally toned bronzed I did learn about other cultures though Jewish traditions & etc. Which was interesting. Also not much information on dressing curvy & full breasted women of color sizes not that I'm big but some of my family is full figured so it wasn't inclusive to them. Huge book lots of good information worth a good read. This company i ordered from is Outstanding!! Used book was in very good condition & arrived quickly I'd definitely order from them again in the future😊😊😊

Ich habe das Buch als Geschenk für meine Freundin gekauft nachdem sie mir erzählt hat dass sie sich verlobt hat. Obwohl ich das Buch nicht als gebrauchte Version gekauft habe kam es "schmutzig" an und sah gebraucht aus was sehr schade ist da es sich ja um ein Geschenk handeln sollte
