The design has an interlocking mechanism, causing no leaking of air or liquid when sucking from the straw. You won't feel uncomfortable while using it as it causes overlapping on one side while bending. Review: Durable, Easy to Clean, and Kid-Approved! - I am a repeat buyer of these Evron Reusable Silicone Straws, and they continue to be a staple in our house. They are exactly as pictured and have held up incredibly well over time. Here’s why I keep coming back for more: • Great Material: The silicone is very soft and comfortable to use. Most importantly, there is no funky smell or weird aftertaste, which can be a common issue with other brands. • Easy Maintenance: The "openable" design is a game-changer. They are so simple to snap open, toss in the dishwasher, and know they are actually getting clean inside. • Built to Last: Having purchased these before, I can confirm they do not fade and hold up perfectly through constant use and washing. • User Friendly: They are very "arch friendly" and easy to handle. Even my child can easily snap them shut so they are ready to use. • Design & Portability: The colors are vibrant and fun, making them easy to spot in a drawer. They are also great for traveling. • Size: They are a bit wider than a standard straw, but I actually prefer that, especially for smoothies! I highly recommend these to anyone looking for an eco-friendly, BPA-free option that actually lasts. I definitely plan on buying more in the future! Review: Stay put together when drinking - Excellent. Can drink a milkshake with them and they are easy to clean.
