You could choose Sealed type for your AMG battery as system parameters , or you could set ’USER‘ type as parameters you want . Please read the maunal , you could find detailed steps .

Where can i get a copy of the firmware upgrade? the current setting does not have lithium setting.

I didn't realize this until you ask, but if you read the entire description it tells you litium settings require the mt50, that's that little remote screen
