Perfect to secure battery from movement
I installed two of these, one into my regular 02 NB Miata and the other into my 2005 Mazdaspeed miata after trying unsuccessfully to find a secure base for the battery that I have installed into the vehicles. This item works great. It's been in my 2002Nb Miata for about a year now and for 6 months in the 05 Mazdaspeed miata. Definitely recommended. You can see the item under the battery in the photo, when installing it into my Mazdaspeed Miata, I simply left it in the white packaging that it came in. It works great!!

Quality battery pad, but only use outdoors. Stinks indoors.
Good, thick pad. The only caveat I have in six months is that the pad absolutely stinks to high heaven. I left it out in the garage the entire winter, and it still has a funk to it. If you're using this outdoors, no problem. But if you're using it indoors for a small failover power supply with a car battery, that would be the only reason I'd pass on this pad. For me, it's outside and is very good.

I insulated my lithium ion 600 cranking amps battery with this stuff and it feels secure and dampens road vibrations so the electronics last longer. Only concern was if the oil from this product would Ruin my battery. It’s been months, haven’t noticed any issues.
