Several years ago, I've had the pleasure of taking Jason McDonald's courses on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). At the time I bought the fitness book that corresponded to the online training courses. Since then, I've been consulting his work for all of my SEO endeavors. This new release is as fresh and exciting to read as the first time I laid eyes on his book! It's informative, interactive and highly structured. But do you wanna know what the best part is.... it speaks to you in English! SEO jargon is kept to a dull roar. Highly recommended. If you feel intimidated by Google and frustrated at them changing the rules of the game that is SEO then you're not alone. But before you blow your budget an AdWords in an attempt to attract customers you gotta read this Workbook. This is a terrific book on search engine optimization, written by a highly gifted teacher and acknowledged master in the field. It is truly a “workbook,” taking a practical, examples-oriented approach to teaching and learning how to optimize a web site, the goal being to generate traffic to your website and ultimately business. Whether designing your own website or working with a professional designer, this volume will greatly enhance your knowledge of SEO. The examples cited are terrific and highly instructive. I have older versions of this book; the 2017 version is by far the best and well worth purchasing, even if you have an older one. Importantly, if one registers on the author’s website, one can then download the entire volume in pdf format. This has several important advantages 1) the electronic version is much easier to read and follow, as one can expand it onto a large screen monitor 2) one can search for key terms and easily find the page/paragraph 3) the electronic version contains a large number of live links, to example websites, numerous SEO tools, and instructional videos, all of which are enormously beneficial. Each chapter contains a large number of these live links, so one learns by example. I learn something new, every time I read this book, it is so full of useful information. In summary, this book is unique in its format, approach to teaching, and content; highly recommended for its target audience and goals.
