did anyone get fakes filters? mine were verified as fake by Pur by lot number on side of filter. 6 pack (2 three pack boxes).

I also got fakes. Four filters, the box says PUR, model CRF-950Z, lot code 27616PEN. Made in Mexico. They came in a white cardboard box, not the normal PUR box. We’ve used PUR filters for 25 years. The instructions for replacement are the same, but the water tastes completely different. I guess I should throw them away. PUR doesn’t seem to be able to get its act together. I ordered a new water pitcher and filters from Alex Jones’ site (Info —, not sure if it’s permitted to say it) on sale, comparable to PUR, effective for a large number of contaminants.

I ordered 3 filters on amazon and the last one I replaced is showing red light. Can you help me know what went wrong? how do I fix it ?

In the bottom of the filter head there is a small pressure switch that is supposed to pop up when you change the filter. Over time those get gummed up and will stick down, causing the red light to stay on. Remove the filter, reach in and pull it back up, then fill it with hot water and work the switch flap up and down until it works freely. A little dish soap helps, just rinse it well. when clean, the switch should stay up, then just replace the filter and put the top back on.
