Was given this as Xmas gift and have been very impressed with headlamp so far. Firstly I have never given product 5 ***** But in my honest opinion this Aennon LED CREE Headlamp deserves these ratings. Box contained Bubblewrap to protect LED Headlamp with built in rechargeable battery, Fully Adjustable Head band, USB Charging Cable and Instruction Leaflet. After charging I then proceeded to use headlamp for the first time. Headlamp has 4 light modes settings. By simply pressing button on top of headlamp activates various levels of light. Press once activates Bright Beam, Press twice for Low Beam, Press third time for Strobe Light, Fourth time Activates Red LED lights suitable for reading maps or books etc. Press again switches Headlamp OFF. Headlamp charges by means of USB on bottom of Lamp. Full charge approximately 4-6 Hrs. On Underside of Headlamp simply pick open grey Rubber Protective Dust Cover and Insert supplied USB Charger Cable into Headlamp and plug into any powered USB socket. Takes about 4 to 6 hours to fully charge. Another great thing is that the headlamp is fully adjustable for different angles. Great for working on the car or motorbike, fishing, walking etc. Have used out in garage at night and when out walking at night. Appears to hold charge well and good build quality. Good fit around head with adjustable head band strapping. Only about 70g in weight. Main beam lasts about 3 to 4 hours. Low beam approximately 30 hours. Can,t comment as yet if it is fullywaterproof or not, but for the price I am more than delighted with product. Manufactures claims headlamp can be charged upto 500 cycles so will update you again later in the year. Output of light is respectable 220 Lumens, Beam distance 150Mtrs or 492 Feet, Manufacturer appears to give lifetime warranty but cannot confirm this at this time. Again this review of this product is my own opinion and others will have there own. This headlamp puts other well known and pricier headlamps in the shade for price and build quality and simple design. Ckeckout the website for all specs of this headlamp. OK, it's not made to the same standards as a more expensive torch like a Petzl or LED Lenser but for the price this is excellent. It's really bright and being rechargeable (with a micro USB lead as used for most mobile phones) makes it easy to keep it topped up so it's ready for use any time. I don't like throwing away part-used non-rechargeable batteries as it seems like a waste, so deciding when to replace the batteries in a normal torch is a balancing act between wasting resources and putting up with a gradually dimming torch. That's not the case with this one - plug it in every now and then and it's always fully charged. Plus the fact that it uses a lithium battery means high capacity with low weight and no memory effect so it's perfectly fine to top it up any time. The beam consists of a really quite narrow, very bright section in the middle with a wider, much less bright area surrounding it. The wide area is easily bright enough to see where you're walking or what you're doing close up and the narrow brighter beam is great for looking further ahead as you would to see where a path leads in the dark. More expensive head torches seem to smooth out the transition between the bright/narrow part and the less bright/wide parts a bit better, but for the price I'm not worried. There are 4 modes which are accessed by sequential presses of the single top-mounted button, in this order: 1: Bright white 2: Dim white 3: Flashing white 4: Red You have to cycle through all modes to get back to the off position. Not a problem for me but worth knowing about. The only area I can't comment on yet is longevity, only having owned it for a few days, but I see no reason why it shouldn't last a good while if looked after properly. Recommended!

Don't hesitate to buy this if you're needing a bright head torch for running at night or anything of that sort. I was somewhat reluctant to purchase it as it seemed too small and light to have a powerful enough beam for my needs. I run in the dark and need a torch with a beam that lets me see far enough ahead to run at a reasonable pace. This is just perfect though - it's very bright (much brighter than you'd reasonably expect for its size), the beam angle is adjustable so you can point it down towards the road, and it's feather-light with an adjustable head-strap to keep it securely on even running over the roughest terrain. Like I say, I'm more than happy with this as it is, but if I had to suggest improvements for a future version I'd say it would be even better if it had a little padding behind the lamp unit. That way it would be more comfortable when wearing it for extended periods. But that's it really, otherwise it's perfect for my needs. Two things you might want to be aware of if you're buying this - as it's rechargeable there's no way to simply put new batteries in if you're away from a power-source for extended periods; and it doesn't come with a charger. It only comes with the USB to micro-USB leads for plugging into a computer. If you want to charge directly from a plug-socket you'll need to have an adapter that can accept USB cables. Great design though - well done Aennon!

With these long winter nights upon us, walking the dog in the dark suddenly becomes a little less appealing and troublesome this time of year. This is especially true when you want to let them loose as much as is safe and possible as I do to maximize their exercise and give them a little freedom. Bought this as 'mid-tier' headlight I would say, not the cheapest of all, but not the top of the range 'Splinter Cell' type ones you can get at more expensive price points. The light is pretty good, very bright to the point you can clearly see what it's pointed at and a little around it, the field of illumination isn't very wide though, you can easily see where you're going, but the peripherals aren't as well lit as I'd hoped. The strap is foolproof and of good quality all while being easily adjustable. There are four settings : brightest light, dimmer light, fast flash and red, simply scroll through the settings using the same button. Charging is simple, stick it in and find a USB source (NOTE - there is only a USB cable, no actual plug to put in a normal socket), with a nice little rubber/plastic cover to keep it clean. Loses one star because of a lack of a tilt/light adjustment mechanism, I tend to walk like most people with my head up looking at where I'm going as opposed to downwards at my feet, the way the light rests (on my head anyway) is so that I have to bend my head downwards slightly to see what's immediately in front of me, one thing to improve and I think at this price it is not unreasonable to expect one as it is not cheap cheap.

Based on Loki, the 9-month old (expanding) husky puppy, rightly not accepting that shorter daylight hours should change his evening walk in a local country park, this head torch has saved his (and our) day. I don’t enter into review pages often yet I do rely on other customer views and this product is so good so far (1 week in and I’ve not needed to charge it yet) that I offer this to hopefully help you to decide. We bought 2 as my partner and I often walk Loki together but this product is very effective if you walk alone as I do too. One feature I’d offer is that the brightest beam setting (the one I’ve been using all week) casts a long distance spot throw that’s something approaching an older car headlamp on full beam whilst radiating a local glow at the same time that enables you to see the immediate path in front of you so you know where your feet are heading next. Without this product the local countryside nature reserve would be out of bounds for Loki by 8pm in September, resigned to street-side footpaths for the winter nights and bordem. Of course you must assess your personal feeling of safety in any environment for yourself however for us, this head lamp is the difference between walking out into the starlit countryside and not, and therefore of course it is going to be powerful enough on high and medium setting for any regular street or lamp-lit footpath, and camping and other things too. Some other customers have commented that when the battery finally does lose charge the light switches off rather than fading. I haven’t got that far yet but the obvious answer is to keep it charged after a few nights, buy more than one if you can afford to, or take a pocket torch as emergency back up. To finish the story so far, Lola the 9-month old tabby kitten is also happy because she gets some peace and quiet whilst Loki goes out. It’s also lovely how many fox eyes glint in the long spot throw too. The deer and the foxes are right on the edge of town. Hope this helps.

Absolutely delighted with this product. Superb value - ie inexpensive. It gives a much brighter light than any of the traditional hand held battery torches I own. Not only is the light bright, but the spread is ideal for walking the dog around our unlit garden. I've not had a head torch before but now I know I should have bought one ages ago. I've already used this for DIY - painting in dark corners and outside at dusk etc. The charge seems to last a good while too The elastic headband is comfortable and fully adjustable - the unit is so light you forget you're wearing it. Also very handy that you can adjust the tilt of the beam itself with clear click stops. Only small complaint - it takes a long time to recharge. But worth it I guess given how long the charge lasts. I've not used the other three settings - low power; strobe; red - but well worth the purchase. Recommended.

I spend a lot of time outside and, at home, I read each night until the early hours, thus a head-torch is, to me, an extremely important part of my life. I have tried many, from the overpriced which don't deliver to the very cheap which, though often better than their expensive counterparts, are mostly short-lived, often uncomfortable to wear. So you cannot imagine the joy of my partner and me on trying our new, Aennon Headtorches! The comfort is such that we can't feel it. The high beam is perfect for seeing our way, setting up bivvies in the dark, just EVERYTHING! Powerful and far-reaching - truly the best we've ever had! The red light is ideal when fishing as it is powerful enough to see everything, even to read by, yet it doesn't scare the fish like when we're setting up for a photo of the catch, more often than not in the dark. And there's me, with my 30hour low-temperature, reading till I drop asleep! No more marks on my forehead, vicious bits sticking in the side of my head - it's perfect! This headtorch is The Best! I've only had this headlamp a couple of days, but I like it. I previously had a couple of the ultra-cheap ones with a 12 LED array; increasingly large numbers of the LEDs started to fail to light within a month. I'm hoping the single main led in the Aennon will avoid this. At first impression the pair of RED LEDs don't seem that bright, but I've only tried that by turning the room light off, so my eyes are presumably still adjusted to brighter light. The white light is great, even on the lower beam. (I should point out I mainly use these things for relatively close-up stuff - no more than ten feet, say., but it gives good light for at least 30 feet when I shine it down the hall into another room.) Weight is good, and the strap is comfortable.The switch feels robust, with a loud click when pressed. The other ones I have use PCB mounted tactile switches, which can be iffy depending on the cap used to activate them. Finally, being USB rechargeable was a draw for me. The other ones use three AAAs - the thread on the cap holding the batteries in broke on one of them, and using tape to hold it in place has proven dodgy since it's under pressure from the battery pack inside (sprung contacts.) The Aennon is an enclosed unit, which will avoid this problem. So overall I'm very happy and am hopeful it'll last a while.

Not very strong light beam, but for the price it’s good for not so demanding use.

Ich verwende Sie als Zusatzlampe beim Radfahren in nicht ausgleuchteten Bereichen wie Waldwegen etc. und bei Arbeiten im Dunkeln. Mit über 50 Lebensjahren ist mein Bedarf an guter Ausleuchtung in letzterZ eit dann leider doch deutlich gestiegen. Die Ausleuchtung weist wie ja schon mehrfach beschrieben einen sehr hellen Punktbereich mit einem großen Hof aus. Der Hof ermöglicht mir das Ablesen des Fahrradcomputers (auch im ECO-Modus) im Augenwinkel ohne den Kopf bewegen zu müssen. Die helle punktuelle Ausleuchtung ist auf der höchsten Stufe ausreichend um bei völliger Dunkelheit den Kurvenverlauf 20-25m vor dem Rad in Blickrichtung so auszuleuchten, dass man eine vernünftige Linie wählen kann. Das ist zwar mit einem kleinen Ausleuchtungsbereich erkauft, geht aber für mich für diese kleine leichte Stirnlampe völlig in Ordnung. Der ECO-Modus ist meist völlig ausreichend, nur wenn es etwas unwegsamer nutze ich die volle Leuchtkraft. Die Rotlichtfunktion ist bei Arbeiten sehr hilfreich, hier ist bei Tätigkeiten der Punktbereich auch im ECO-Modus so hell, dass ich die Lampe etwas wegdrehe um nicht geblendet zu werden. Weiterhin freue ich mich über das rote Licht, da es als Notrücklicht genutzt werden kann. Im Gegensatz zu meiner vorherigen Kopflampe eines bekannten Outdoorausrüsters ist diese Lampe nun zu meinem ständiger Begleiter geworden, da sie leichter ist und recht schnell wieder aufgeladen ist. Nach einer Stunde Nutzungsdauer ist sie bei mir nach 10-15 Minuten wieder voll einsatzbereit. Auch meine großen Brenner benutze ich seither viel seltener. Nach meiner Einschätzung ist die Lampe qualitativ sehr wertig und kann nicht mit halb so teuren verglichen werden, sondern orientiert sich wirklich eher an teureren Markenprodukten. Bei mir stellte sich ein leichtes Druckgefühl auf der Stirn ein, welches ich mit einem aufgeklebten, von mir gelochten Moosgummistreifen erfolgreich beseitigen konnte. Das Kopfband selbst empfinde ich als überaus angenehm. Für mich also eine sehr empfehlenswerte Lampe.

Received faulty head torch- focus light and Red lamps not glowing, fittings, and body quality also not good. Very disappointing.

La Torcia appare già caricata. 4 modalità: luce intensa, media, lampeggiante e luci rosse. Sono circa 220 lumen, ma ben orientati, in quanto il fascio di luce è estremamente comodo nel camminare al buio, anche in modalità luce media. Molto interessanti le luci rosse, perché sono piuttosto intense e, quindi, utili in caso di nebbia. Il materiale elastico è resistente e solida è la scocca che contiene i led. Dopo la prima passeggiata, il giudizio è ottimo. Aggiornerò la recensione dopo un uso prolungato. The product came packed in a cardboard box with the headband, a 15cm USB cable and a synthetic, but very easy-to-understand set of instructions (in English). The Torch appears already charged. 4 modes: intense, medium, blinking and red lights. They are about 220 lumens, but well oriented, as the beam of light is extremely comfortable in walking in the dark, even in medium light. Very attractive red lights, because they are rather intense and therefore useful in the fog. The elastic material is durable and solid is the body that contains the LEDs. After the first walk, the judgment is great. I will update the review after prolonged use.

Utilizo mucho las linternas frontales para algo que quizás pueda sorprender un poco, como es leer por la noche en la cama. Estas linternas permiten a los aficionados a esta actividad, como es mi caso, no molestar a tu pareja con una luz fija en la mesilla de noche, concentra muy bien la luz en un foco pequeño que facilita una lectura muy cómoda y agradable. Hasta ahora he ido probando varios modelos y o pesaban mucho, o tenían una escasa movilidad del foco y todos con el coste añadido de las pilas. Esta linterna sorprendentemente resuelve todos esos inconvenientes: tiene muy poco peso, un dato de gran importancia cuando lees, una cinta magnífica que te sujeta muy bien sin apretar, con lo que es muy cómoda y ergonómica. La carga dura mucho, a la vez que se realiza en muy poco tiempo y tiene varios tipos de iluminación que cuando la usas para actividades del aire libre te permiten diversas opciones según tus necesidades. El servicio de Amazon como siempre, y el del vendedor en este caso excelentes. Hasta ahora la mejor linterna que tengo. Totalmente recomendable.
