If you've used one of those all-in-one buffer/polisher things until your nail surface is glass-like, then sometimes the polish can't adhere properly. Do a light buff to "rough up" the surface a little. Then the polish will adhere better, and thus dry better. Finally, sometimes polish won't dry well in high humidity. On days like that, give the polish another minute or two to dry. I have a setting on my AC to de-humidify. On days with high humidity, I engage it about half an hour before I want to do my nails, and keep it on until I'm done. Seems to help. **Q: Does this dry with a white or clear matte finish** A: It’s has a matte look but it’s subtle. It goes on like it could be white but it’s clear - not a glossy look. It’s been a very good base coat! I never trust that (got burned with a polish that stained my nails). So I've been trying various base coats to find one that maintains my manicure for those times when I can't change my polish every 3-4 days like I normally do. This Revlon quick-dry held up for a week. It might have gone longer, but I swapped it out on day 7. Some of the Revlon polish formulas can be on the unforgiving side, but this one goes on great. Dries super-fast, too.
