I tend to practice while relaxing in the tub, or while eating lunch at work, and the cards getting wet or food on them hasn't been an issue; they clean up really easily and still look new after a few weeks of heavy use and lots of clumbsy spills will sitting on a park bench trying to balance flash cards and food lol. These are also the same playing card size/texture as the Katakana and Vocab cards that they sell, so you can easily mix-and-match cards from different sets for review, which is nice.
