In my experience, this product lacks consistency! The UV light works fine, but the magnetic detector part was very inconsistent. For instance, I tried it 9n a 50 dollar bill. It took 5, maybe 6 tries before it worked. I thought maybe that initially I was holding it incorrectly. 5 minutes later I tried it again and it failed to work. Then it worked 2 other times and after that I could not get it to work. Same position, same place, everything was the same. I have been shopping on Amazon for a long time and happy with most of my purchases. Not this one.

UV light works perfectly. Magnetic testing of the ink is junk. Worked for one day, now rarely gives a pass indicator when I know the bill is real. Could have spent half the money if all I got was the UV function!

It works as described but not outstanding. The UV light and magnetic detection functions do the basic job, but sometimes it takes a few tries to get accurate results. Build quality is okay for the price, but it doesn’t feel very durable. Overall, it’s usable for occasional checks, but not ideal for heavy daily use.
